stupidity at a Hockey game

a NHL game with my Vancouver Canucks & the Calgary Flames, a Canucks fan had a laser pointer, and was pointing it into the Calgary Flames goalies eyes. I've been a life long Hockey fan, my childhood memories are of watching Hockey. There is a rivalery between different teams, and fans. But this is just flat out stupid.

WOW.... this is news to me. Sad.... Have they caught the person responsible? If so, is this even a crime? I would hope so....

Can't speak for NHL as we don't have a team here but I am a season ticket holder for the Houston Aeros AHL team and while we do participate in the usual verbal taunting such as when we score, "1, 2, 3, he shoots, he scores, hey (insert goalie's name), you suck!" but if someone were be caught using a laser pointer in such a manner they would definitely kick him out. As rowdy as the crowd can sometimes get I've never seen an instance of interference by a fan, throwing items on ice, etc.. hope I never do.

Actually, it is a crime to do this sort of thing. People have been arrested and fined lots of money for doing dumb things like this.

Pouye - Yes...both the NHL and I believe the RCMP are looking into this. The the Calgary Flames coach said, if tis ever happens again...he will pull his team off the ice...
