2012 moviemaker has no problem destroying Christian symbols, admitting he does it because he hates "organized religion" (a code word for Christianity--these guys never hate Buddhism or Hinduism). But he's afraid of what real Muslims will do to him if he destroys a pretend Muslim landmark in his movies:

And people say Christians aren't tolerant....don't know any who are calling in threats for destroying landmarks targeted BECAUSE they are Christian...we just sigh and move on...

I generally don't tolerate it, and chew out anyone who does it, including one mod once. I've also asked the mods to delete it as an option.

ohhhhh, you heard me. :o ;)

I try to reserve the rolling of the eyes for myself.

But I've noticed you're not a fan of any smiley actually. I really wish they had a whistling one ...... I'd use that one ALOT!!

When you have a group that does massive protests with death threats included because of a simple newspaper cartoon, then I'd be reluctant as well.

I'm sure that if we sent out death threats and rioted and had a few mentally off-base groups that specialized in terrorism, we'd probably get the same treatment. I'm not exactly sure however, that that's the way to go about changing people's minds.

I saw a lot of people in the comments on that page said that by not wiping out Muslim sites in the film, that he wimped out and essentially gave in to the terrorists. IMHO, he did give in, but I didn't find anything wimpy about it. There are certain things worth standing up to the terrorists over, and to me, a fictional film about the end of the world that was made simply for entertainment doesn't really fall under that category. Knowing that they went ballistic over a simple cartoon, one can only imagine how postal they would have gotten had one of their landmarks/holy sites gotten mowed over in the movie.

I'm still waiting for Jeff Dunham to go into hiding the way he makes fun of the extremists with the help of Achmed The Dead Terrorist. "SILENCE! I KEEL YOU!" :D
