This declaration aparently gives the Fed. Govt. more power for somethings but I have not seen exactly what those powers are.

Also CBS has exposed the epidemic hoax of H1N1.

They better not make the vaccine mandatory. I will go to jail before I take it.

me too. They cannot make it mandatory without taking full civil responsibility for any adverse effects the vaccine may have.

They will never make it mandatory. I suspect there will be many deaths caused by H1N1 this season. Someone at work has already been diagnosed.

No vaccine for me and mine. I think my sister had it. She had the flu, we just don't no if it was regular seasonal or the "swine" variety. It was about 3 weeks ago. She's fine.

Well I was sort of joking. I really don't think it will excede 36,000.

Beside the fact that the number of actual H1N1 infections is inflated, there's the risk inherent with every inoculation. It's rare, but why risk it?

Well I guess that's a decision everyone has to make for themselves. I'd rather take the chance with the vaccine.

The Swine Flu vaccine isn't even out yet... But the mercury content is enough to make me shirk from any vaccine...

Yes, JL, it should be a personal choice. And it better stay that way.

Swine flu vaccine not out yet? Then why are people here getting it?

I think making it a national emergency lets people who can't afford it and/or don't have insurance get it for free.

It is out, but supplies are limited in most areas.

My wife OB recommended that we both get the regular and H1N1 vaccines, because she is pregnant. I very rarely ever get flu vaccines, and I also think I've only gotten the flu once, as a child. I got the regular one a week or two ago when I was at the doctor for my allergies. But they didn't have any H1N1 vaccines yet. I think the pregnant and elderly are at the front of the line for the vaccine.

I think the elderly are actually at the back of the line. From what I gather, many of them have immunities from the last couple swine flu outbreaks.

From the Arizona Republic:
"Officials stressed Thursday that the vaccine will only be given to high-risk groups.

Those include pregnant women, children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years of age, children between the ages of 5 and 18 with underlying health issues such as asthma, diabetes, neuromuscular diseases and compromised immune systems.

Direct caregivers of newborns under six months of age can also receive the vaccine."
