Mac made a few references to his less-than-stellar physical health, one time asking us to pray for his voice and his strength, another time even saying that he was in bed all day. Amazing then, that this show was so good. I've been to eight shows, and I hardly noticed any difference at all in his voice. When I went up near the stage from our Row G seats toward the end of the concert, I noticed he looked a bit pale, but we sure got our money's worth.

There were a number of really memorable touches to this show:
-- Midway through, the stage went dark, and a minute or two later, the band reappeared on a riser near the back of the arena. They breezed through a neat little acoustic set, even taking suggestions from the crowd and playing short snippets of some songs.
-- We didn't get Lacey Mosely on "Run to You," but we got Laura Story, who appeared earlier on the Glory Revealed segment. I don't find her voice nearly as appealing as Lacey's -- either as a soloist or in tandem with Mac -- but it did add something that we didn't hear on the Music Rebuilds tour.
-- Bethany Olds played a pretty mean violin and added some great vocals on "God of Wonders."
-- The entire Glory Revealed crew was fantastic. You could really discern their pure hearts for God in the way they described the songs they recorded -- the act of breathing pure Scripture back to us -- and in the video where they spent a week in a cabin in Georgia recording the songs.
-- Mac spent more time than usual praying. Maybe that was due to feeling weak and not up to loud singing, but nothing wrong with more time at the throne of God.

Overall, I thought Third Day was much better in this Houston show than it was during the Music Rebuilds stop. The only puzzling thing was the attendance. The entire upper deck was empty. They could have held this in a church, because there couldn't have been more than 5,000 people here. What happened to the days when they drew 15,000 to the Woodlands Pavilion? Is this just a function of the dreadful economy?

And for the first time ever, I took a camera. I've never posted photos here, and when I tried, it was unsuccessful. I noticed that the max file size allowed is 100kb. Is that why? Can I reduce the size of my files to post here?

Yes to both questions. I'm definitely no expert at this but here's how I do it:
1. Open the picture folder & roll your cursor over the photo you want to post.
2. It'll tell you how many KBs it is (along with a bunch of other info.)
3. Right click & select "Open with."
4. Then select your photo program (mine is HP ImageZone.)
5. Click on "resize" & select "%" (rather than pixels.)
6. I usually start with 50% depending on the original size & go up or down from there.
7. Click "apply" then "save as" & give it a name.
8. Close out that window & go back to the picture folder.
9. Roll over the resized photo to see how many KBs it is now & go from there.

This CAN be very time consuming & there is probably a faster way, I just don't know it! Maybe someone with more experience will post instructions. Jason? Karen? Or try one of those websites where you can post photos. You may not have to reduce them at all (I've never used one, so I have NO idea.) Then just post your link! Good luck...

We got this in Austin as well, only Laura sang on "Born Again" & Bethany sang on "Run to You." Trouble is I really couldn't hear either one of them very well. The music seemed to drown out their voices. The acoustic set was great!!

Definitely praying for Mac & all the guys. They had a busy week in Texas!!

Actually I usually do pixels. Photos 600 pixels wide are usually small enough if they're landscape.

Cool Pics, Webo! I may have to save the above instructions in case I ever want to post pics here! I've always wandered how Mac deals with being sick while out on the road, not to mention all the guys in the band. I guess that's why it's good for us to be praying for their continued good health-especially through the flu season.

Yes, the band does need our continued prayers.

Yes, I'm sure these guys operate on the "show must go on" principle. Mac probably felt wretched, and most of us would have called in sick, but he went out and gave us a great show.

It's probably because I was out of town. :P
