I'm a coke girl myself...but I like to try all soft drinks and I did grow up in a Pepsi house.

Pepsi is from the south too, actually, New Bern, NC. As they like to say, "Pepsi - born in the Carolinas". :) The CostCo that is a couple of miles from my house actually used to be a Pepsi bottling plant.

I'd never heard of this Pepsi Throwback stuff, so I googled it. So all it is is that it's made with sugar, not corn syrup or something like that?

Guess it doesn't come in diet, huh? :P

And for the record, not because I'm biased or anything (since I'm from CA originally), but I actually prefer diet Pepsi to diet Coke. (Can't say one way or the other about their non-diet equivalents, since it's been years since I've had either...)

Yes! That's the difference. Sugar vs. Corn Syrup. It really does make a difference. I DARE you to try it Nurse.

I started watching this video on soda pop from a dude that owns a store that sells all kinds. Didn't think I'd watch but a couple of minutes of the 13 min. video ..... but I was glued the whole time. Not quite sure what that says about me. Maybe that I respond to passion ..... and this guy has it! :)

I'm guessing he picked it up at either Jewel or Walmart. But I'll find out for sure and let you know ....

Our Bi-Lo grocery store had it, but I resisted buying any. I'm a Coke girl too, so buying Pepsi was against my better judgement.

So if you can't find the throw back Pepsi anymore, or refuse to try it coughnursecough, here's something to try:

Right before Passover, Coke comes out with a kosher coke, made with cane sugar. The label will still say corn syrup. You will know it's the kosher coke by the yellow cap on top with a circled U in the upper left hand corner.
