I put together a website for my church a while ago and thought I'd post the link so people could have a look. Let me know what you think.

This is an interesting thread. :)
Col: Well done. And, I'm the only one here who knows where Minto is. :)
Sharon: Your church website is even bigger and better than when I last saw it.
Roger: There are ministries with quite distinctive names.
Ayfan: Very much a campus church.

Yep. Mino - or rather Minto - doesn't get the reputation it deserves.
I like the I'm new here tab on you page. The explanation on the next page would probably surprise a many non-believers. That's good!

Can't say I'd read the I'm new here tab until now. It's amazing what you learn on the Boards! :P
Our work is to love new people and let the Holy Spirit change them. The church has ministries with people who have been alcoholics, prostitutes or on the margins of society, and they may feel condemned and out of place in a church.

I'm impressed. There aren't many churches who would want to be seen doing that. Imagine what it would do to their reputation!

Improve it? :P
Jesus came to save the lost, and we were all lost. He loves to see the prodigal sons (and daughters) come home. :)
Pam: I like your church's website, too. The values and beliefs are spelled out clearly.

Indeed. I haven't attended church in three years because of my van situation.
But that will change soon. Van is repaired and insured. It just needs to be registered.

I hear people say this stuff all the time, but in my 44 years of going to various churches, I have never encountered a church that would turn anyone away.

True. My point is that there is no active effort geared toward seeking to reach out to these minorities.

Hi Wendy. :)
I like your church's site - especially the photos of the people on the main menu page and the focus on Missions. It's good to see Samaritan's Purse acknowledged, too. (We send shoe boxes and raise money for village wells.)
It's a well laid out site.

My pastor always encourages us to support missions too, and everytime we do really great he always says how delighted he is to be leading a church the really has a heart for missions , for example a few weeks ago the senior kids sunday school class made fresh lemonade and african animal cupcakes to raise money for life straws for kids in africa and we exceeded the amount they wanted to raise we raised not $1,000 but $2,000 and we have been in involved with operation christmas child too .

Agreed. :) Jesus commanded us to to go to the ends of the earth to make disciples.
The church I go to has "faith promise" where people pray for God's guidance as how much to give to Missions, not out of what we have, but above that. Then, we wait for God to supply this need by faith. It's a great faith builder.
The church puts in tithes for the work of the church, and an extra 50 to 60% of this amount is given by faith promise to missions. (I hope this makes sense.) Interestingly, we support a small group of believers doing it tough in Tarsus, Turkey, where Paul came from.
Can you tell that I am on the Missionary Support Group at church? :P
