If you had to lose one sense...

If you were forced to lose one of your senses which one would it be and why?
Secondly, which sense would you least like to lose. For what reason?

For me, if I were forced I would choose to lose a sense it would be a toss up between taste and smell. Out of those two it would have to be smell to go. You don't use it for any real benefit most of the time whereas taste allows you to enjoy a wide variety of food. Mmmmm.

I would keep sight at all costs. It is by far the most important sense as you use it every waking hour to do so many things you need to do.

Definitely smell is one I can live without. I'd hate to lose my hearing most of all. I can at least listen to the NASCAR races and visualize them in my head and listen to movies and visualize them. That is providing of course that I lost my sight at some point.

Smell contributes a lot to your sense of taste. Haven't you noticed how everything tastes flat when you have a cold? I'll give up my vestibular sense, I don't think I'd mind being dizzy all the time.

Anywho ...... I think this game means you can have fun with the rules and lose your sense of smell without having it alter your sense of taste whatsoever.

So I would say I would lose my sense of smell.

Touch? NO WAY!! I'm a hugger, love backrubs and well, kissing is pretty awesome.

Sight? I'm balance impaired with it. I don't know if I could function without it. :P

Hearing? No music? No way. I loved hearing my sweet boys say "mommy" when they were little. I like to whisper ..... I like to hear whispers.

Taste? chocolate, nutella, coffee ..... enough said ....

Living in a house with 4 boys, there would be a lot of smells I wouldn't miss. ahem. But I would miss the smell of babies after their baths .... the smell of rain .... what my boys smell like WHEN they've been playing outside ..... the smell of my man when he's all gussied up and ready to go out.

I like all of what I have but if it came down to it, even though I'm a hugger, I'd go with losing touch. I think I could handle just knowing that the person I love is hugging me even if I can't feel it.
