Yesterday in toddlers church we had fun we are growing sunflowers in the garden and the children are decorating potted christmas trees that are growing they are decorating the pots not the trees , and i was playing with a future soccer player and guess what after toddlers was over for the day one of my little ones not mentioning any names locked the door of the closet that had my bag and the bag of one of the other teachers thankfully the management time had a set of keys or i would of had to walk home and not have lunch , oh the joys of children's ministry

It's great to finally be enjoying fall. Crisp mornings, cool days & TONS of butterflies!

The garden has gotten it's second wind & the bell pepper plants that barely hung on through the summer are covered in blooms! Unfortunately, our first hard freeze is typically around Dec. 1st. They are against a south wall, though & I did have one survive over the winter last year, so who knows? I may get a pepper yet this year!

I saw a basil plant nearby that was 2 feet tall, apparently they were VERY late germinating this year! I thought they'd gotten washed away in the rain, shortly after planting in April or May, because I hadn't seen hide nor hair of ANY basil.

I know some of ya'll are freezing already, you can come visit Texas, it's like a whole other country!

Basil is one of my very favorite herbs! enjoy! I'm kicking myself for forgetting to plant any rosemary this year. grrrrrr. I think I still have some italian parsley and a couple of green onions that might still be edible. :D But next year I'm seriously thinking about covering the garden and planting the few herbs and veggies I enjoy in containers.
