I think they're kinda cool. Kinda like toe-socks (of which I have a few pair), only they're shoes.
But if I'm going to spend $75 on a pair of shoes that are supposedly good for my feet, I'll buy me a new pair of Birkies instead, if you can still buy Birkies for that these days...
And actually per my mom's doctor, going barefoot is actually NOT a good thing. Better to have better arch support than that, apparently...

OK...those are strange! I won't be buying those.
I do have a couple pairs of toe socks.....received as gifts. I don't wear them as they tend to cut the circulation off in my toes  :o . But I still have them because they have Cookie Monster on them and it would kill me to get rid of them :o

I still would like to know what makes toe-sock designers think that it's a good idea to design them with all of the toes the exact same length. :P Works great for the big toe, but my pinky toe always tries to fall out of it's assigned spot in the sock. LOL. Fortunately they're not all like that.
Favorite fall footwear? My toesocks with all different color toes, with my birkenstocks. You can see my feet coming from a mile away! :D

My rock climbing teacher last summer had a pair of those. I don't know what to think of them...but they're definitely not for me.

Actually ..... I was kidding. I frequently look at the price of an item and start wondering "hmmmm, how many books could I buy with that amount"? :P I'd usually rather have books.
But anywho ..... do you suppose toes stay warmer with some kind of fabric wrapped around each one, or by being cozy next to each other? I don't think that a single toe can generate very much warmth at all, but how about 5? I still don't think it's much. Not enough for me anyways in the winter. Although I do wear my flip flops in the winter (around the house). Evenso, I do love a good pair of socks. Should I stop talking now????
p.s. James, did you ever imagine you would get this many responses to your post? I surely didn't ...... no offense. ;)

I can't say I thought about it one way or another. I'd much rather have more people visit my website, read a book or see a movie I just recommended, though.

As a person who has worn both mittens and gloves on her hands, mittens are much warmer....though much harder to do anything useful with. So my scientific conclusion is that toe socks or shoes wouldn't be as warm as regular socks or shoes.:P

Actually, with gloves, they can actually make your fingers colder. If the insulation around a circular object is thin enough, it can actually draw the heat out of the object, as is the case with the thin insulation around electrical wires. So that could be scientifically possible that mittens are warmer than gloves.

That's what I've always heard, that mittens keep your hands warmer than gloves, due to the body heat generated by having all 4 fingers in one place. So it would make sense that toe socks would be essentially the same thing.
I personally like my glittens (or mloves, whichever you prefer, although googling for a pic, I see a lot of people call them glittens) in the winter. Love these things, I'm on my second pair after wearing out the first ones. Fingertipless gloves with a fliptop mitten top.

I'd wear them if they made my feet feel better.....My students would get a kick out of them.....teehee...
...and I do have a pair of "glittens"....fabulous!
