On Saturday September 26th Jordan and I will be participating in a walk to raise funds to help support Hearing and Service Dogs of Minnesota. This is the organization that approved him to receive an Autism Assistance Dog. Right now we are just waiting for the funds and a dog to become available so I figured whatever we can do to help this along will be a good thing. The walk is three miles and Jordan's special ed teacher will be walking with us. Believe me, as fast as he has gotten I need all the help I can get to keep him in line. I''ve set up a webpage for anyone who would like to support us by donating on line. Actually, they set it up when I registered on line. I'm attaching the link to my page which I kinda sorta customized. Please be kind as I have no clue what I was doing with it, HAHAHA!

Yeah, so far this summer alone Jordan has nearly been hit by a truck, car and latest a motorcycle. So a dog would yesly make our lives much easier and safer. I do totally understand that with the way things are folks just can't afford to support many causes so don't even worry about it. If this is within God's plan it will happen.

I really hope and believe you'll get a dog soon!
Dogs can do so much more than assisting with such things....it would provide a companion and a friend for your boy!
I just got a job but won't start till October 5th. Please let me know if there's anything I can do past then!

You are very sweet. Right now we are looking at the end of this year, beginning of next for getting our dog. From what I've read the dogs are a really calming influence on our kids. Especially in situations where there is alot of people and commotion. You see their senses are just so heightened that these situations just freak them out. I remember when Jordan was just a baby. Every Christams when we got together with extended family he'd just cry and try to hide from everyone. He still gets really agitated but not as bad as it once was so, a buddy to hang out with and to calm him down would yesly be a cool thing indeed.
That is so cool that you got a job and I'll be praying it all goes well for you. Just keep on praying for us that we can keep him in check for now and that our dog comes this year.

I don't know much about autism but what I do know is that they are very very bright people! I'm sure your son will be blessed with a dog. God is cool that way! ;)
