Australia is a dangerous country when it comes to animals. You can get eaten by a crocodile, taken by a shark, poisoned by the deadliest snakes in the world and even attacked by the animal which represents our country and is on our coat of arms!

And emus can have a button fetish, or even worse, a liking for sandwiches.

Yes but you have kiwis, wallabies and wombats (I want one), not to mention the gorgeous lorikeets

Hi Sharon...... Waving.
Yes, in our street there are various parrots and noisy cockatoos, which I like, and lorikeets too, I think. Kiwis live across the ditch (the feathered kind, anyway. Many of the human kind live here in Sydney.)
I seem to remember that you have your share of Aussie birds in Pittsburgh. :)

A man I was talking tonight said that a big six foot roo kicked the door of his car in once. (Slammed in to it trying to attack him.)
I didn't realise that they could be that aggressive without being attacked or cornered. (I've known bush guys who've said that a big kangaroo can gut you if it's wounded, but yeah - so long skippy  )
Just pat the littler ones.
