fighting with my boss

If you read my prayer request, my job @ MK Bay...we lost one of my bosses. She won't be coming back to work...

My current boss (Richard), we have been fighting a lot over the past 3 weeks. And its starting to to drag me down. He added lots of items to the menu, and STILL wants to add more. In my opinion, he knows more about selling boats than food. He has added 5 new items, and its like...I don't even learn how to cook item 1...he is already moving on to item 5...

I also take into account, he is having issue losing Linda (my old boss). And sometimes I feel like he is taking it out on me. I have tried to talk to him, telling him how I feel about adding new items. But it seems to fall on deaf ears. I'm @ my wits end. I don't want to quit this job, it is paying very well. I do pray be4 I go to work, but everyday he finds something new to fight about...

That is not good when you are in the food business. You have got to serve fresh stuff.

Having spent 11 years in food service....that is ridiculous. Food and drinks both become "old" and unsellable.

for the prayers guys & gals. The fighting isn't as bad, it kinda cooled off. He knows I'm the cook, and I know he is the boss. But saying that, I'm NOT serving old food. And I'm ready to put my job on the line for that...

now its not just fighting with the boss, its drama with co-workers. I got real sick be4 I went to work, and my boss sent me home, with how sick I was. I believe in my heart... me being sick is stress related...

I'm gonna make a doctors appointment tomorrow...

I can get into seeing my Doc until Thursday, its so lame. I probably won't be sick anymore by that time...

I do feel a little better today. My got my nefew a new bike, and he loved it.

You bought your nephew a new bike?? That's why you're feeling better ...... loving and giving refresh the soul!! :D In my educated opinion that is ..... ;) Dr. Salome is now taking patients. :rolleyes:

thank you 4 your prayers, I feel better today. I think all I needed was rest, and a little time away from work. But because I missed a day of work, I do have to go to the Doctor tomorrow.

Sorry I haven't posted to this just yet, I have prayed over this on the P&P forum.

When I was faced with a boss who wanted to just drive me into the ground a friend gave me great advice. State your opinion then just Smile :D and bless him, and say "OK". He stopped being so hard hearted and started listening.

Worked for me and it may apply to your situation.

sounds so eazy, but with my current job...not that simple. It would take me a long time to explain everything that's going on with my job -

1 - my old boss who kept things together last year, had to step down 'cause she has cancer. That's understand-able

2 - my (current) boss is dating a co-worker, and that co-worker is making my job a living hell

3 - another co-worker shows up when she wants to, and when she is @ work...isn't happy to be there and lets us know.

I could go on all day...

I take it you are working at a small business. With no rules of fraternization it can become the nightmare you are working in.

Be steadfast in your faith. God said He would not give us anymore than we can handle, and He would always be with us. Look at this as a test from God and always look to Him for guidance. There may be something for you to learn from this, pray for wisdom.

It is never easy going through the "valley" but rest assured that God has a purpose in all of this. Be at peace with it and ask God if He has something else for you to do. You never know but He may be telling you that He has another job for you or He wants you to prove His Sovereignty to these folks.

Remember to pray for wisdom in all of this. I will be praying this for you also.

like my view of my job changes from day to day. My Church is putting up a worship festival, and all the days are on days I work. I've asked for time off for it, but my boss keeps saying no. So, I'm gonna ask again in writing. If he doesn't give it to me...I'm gonna quit.

as of 12:00 PM PST - July 18th/09...I quit my job. I was stressed out all the time, even when I wasn't @ work. And I tried too hard to work this job under my own power. I should have prayed about taking up this job before I went back...

But we all have things in life to learn, and I'm gonna move on.

I feel so much better today, like the world is off my sholders. I took my nefew swimming last night, and had a blast. The most fun I had in a long long time...

I was way too stressed out @ work, even my days off I was stressed out...
