I am not not much of a review writer, but I will put down a few words and give you all some pictures.
It has been 3 years now since I have been to a Third Day concert. I REALLY miss them not coming to the PNW more. We used to get them once a year here in Spokane, but that has stopped. Anyway, I say this only to say that it was indeed time for a good helping of Third Day and this concert did not disappoint at all!!
I have been asked what the song list was and to be honest, I did not write it down and I sure don't remember. As I said before, it seemed like a greatest hits concert. I do know that they played Thief and I loved it. Thief has always been my favorite TD song and still is. I love what Mark does at the end of it. It kind of has a Pink Floyd feel to it and there is just so much emotion in that song.
Speaking of Mark, that guy can play!!!! I know that you all already know that, but I just had to say it. I knew that Mark did a great job on the guitar, but The Dr. really shined in Kennewick!! He really has a smooth style that I could listen to all night.
Tai really gets into playing the bass and is a lot of fun to watch!! David just keeps beating those drums back there and does a great job. He is a hard one to get pictures of!!
This was the first time I had seen TD with Scotty Wilbanks on the keys. I seem to hear more keyboards than I remember hearing before.
I was not disappointed at all to hear Mac give one of his mini sermons!! IMHO, these really show where the heart of Third Day is. I thought that Mac looked tired and I think that he had had a pretty hard day also. We are glad that he made it to Kennewick!! Life on the road has to get very old!!!!
In the end,I would like to say a big thank you for being able to attend this concert. I could not have made it on my own and I really appreciate the kindness shown in helping me get there. My daughter and I had an awesome time and it will not be forgotten.
I have to tell you something that my daughter told me as we were driving away after the show. I have been a big TD fan for a few years now. My daughter was a big Newsboys fan. She used to tell me that TD popularity was fading and that they were dying out. She told me after the show that "she had to admit" that they (TD) were still very popular and were a great band. She really did enjoy the show!!
Third Day lets their light shine brightly in all that they do and it was a great pleasure to enjoy some of this experience with old friends.
I will add a few pics here and give you a link to a lot more.
