This will be our second time seeing 3D at Carowinds. Here is the line up:

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Feb.27, 2009) – An impressive festivity of Contemporary Christian Music returns to Carowinds this year, featuring renowned artist tobyMac and powerhouse band Third Day, as SonFest 2009 takes place on Saturday, June 13, at Carowinds’ Paladium Amphitheatre. The concert will also feature Hawk Nelson, Brandon Heath, Fire Flight, Remedy Drive, speaker Mike Pitt, and comedians Bean and Bailey.

**also Tai posted on the Wired blog that there will be a meet & greet during the summer festival shows**

I cannot WAIT for this concert! I've had tickets since they went on sale. I've seen them in nearly every type of venue and there's just something about open air, summer shows. I'm just hoping their set is longer than expected. ;)

has anyone been to this venue b4 and know how they are about cameras? Also are there intermissions and when do I get to eat? lol

...when do I get to eat? lol

Ahhh, good to see that someone's got their priorities straight! :D (I'm going to DC this weekend for a Mets game, and I've already figured out we're stopping at Crackerbarrel on the way up there Saturday morning for breakfast! My motto? "Food, it's the most important meal of the day!") :P

I'm not going to Sonfest this year, but have been the last several years.

They don't like cameras there (sometimes you can get away with it, but I've had to put mine away at the last two shows I've seen there, grumble; last year they had to weave their way through 5 rows of seats and come middle of the row to tap me on the shoulder to put it away, that's how much they don't like cameras there), and if I remember right, there are plenty of intermissions between acts, and yes, lots of places for food. :)

Mets game in DC? Sounds great. Have a great time. I'm going to Carolina Beach for a few days. Supposed to rain but oh well -- it never rains long in NC anyway.

Just happy the weather is supposed to be cooler this weekend, back close to 80, vs the 90's that we've had this week. No fun sightseeing when it's that hot. Have a good time at the beach (maybe it won't rain :) )! The last time I was at the beach was Ocracoke several years ago.

Only 10 more days!

Come say hey this time. I have 4th row center seats. Have no idea what I'll be wearing (it won't be my Gomer shirt...too big and hot!).

Hope to see you there!

Joe & I are lookiing forward to this...1st (and only) time we are seeing 3D this year!

I think our tickets are almost center 2nd row. Not bad but my claustrophobia might raise it's ugly head.

I need to bring a hankie b/c 2 yrs ago exactly (we missed 2007 front row Sonfest) my Dad became suddenly ill leaving my sister & I to take care of Mom who has ALS needing 24/7 care. And 2 months ago she passed away. I'll probably be pretty Emo today.

Will be great to see Gomers!

E mail for M&G indicates it won't start until 7:45 tonight. 3D plays at 6:00 and will have an hour set. There is a speaker after that which is why M&G is at 7:45. I might not stay as we are driving to Williamsburg for Glory In The Gardens.
