So here I was in the middle of nowhere....driving home in the middle of the night. I'm sure a lot of the Texans are familiar with those roads that have speed limits of 65/70 in between towns. But once you reach a town, the speed goes to 60, then 55, then 45, then 40, ect. So I missed one of the signs since they were close together. I wasn't going excessively fast, maybe 5-10 mph over. But it was a Friday night.....or should I say Saturday morning since it was after midnight. So it was basically a speed trap hoping to catch the drunks.
So the guy was really nice about it. Asked me where I was going and where I was coming from. When I told him I was in College Station for a concert, he asked what concert. So I said "Have you ever heard of Third Day?" To which he replied "Why yes! I do know them! I'm just going to give you a warning. You won't have to pay a ticket or anything. Have a good night and drive carefully!" What a nice guy!
And what a relief! That was the first time I've ever been pulled over.

What a Blessing! and funny too. Very cool story Amy. I saw you there and wanted to say hello, it was like I blinked and you were gone. I think I froze sometime that evening. Regardless of the days obstacles, what a great show!

Wish I'd been going to a 3D concert the 14 times I've gotten traffic tickets!

I have to ask...were you going through Calvert? I used to commute to Bryan one day a week from Waco (actually I live in Clifton, and work in Waco). But anyway...I would always creeeeep through Calvert. Those speed reductions can sneak up on you...

I'm not sure exactly where I was....the warning just says Milam County. I think it was either Gause or Milano though. Gotta love those speed traps!

I know I saw you! Unfortuantely, I wasn't feeling very social...I had hardly any voice left that day to start with...made myself sicker with the cold, and now I have a nasty sinus infection. I did say hi to Lori, Corrine, and Angie (Angie was in line a couple of people in front of me! What a surprise!!:D :D ). And I met some really nice people in line that I wish I got their names. If they weren't Gomers, they should have been! They were so into it!
But it was worth getting sicker over, the show was great! I haven't seen them play in a couple of years. I was having concert withdrawal symptoms  :D . So sick or not, I was determined to go.
