I'm old enough that I can remember when the only late night TV was the Tonight show; gas was 25 cents a gallon; and the internet, cable TV, and cell phones didn't exist. See, stunts like this are exactly why my Irish brethren look down their noses at Italians........:D

Hey thanks y'all! Lots of folks at work were obviously on vacay during spring break last week 'cause the wishes flooded in on Monday.

And for my birthday the choice was a free dessert, or what I decided on, a black t-shirt with Taki on the front top right and "Got Rice?" on the back.

Did I mention they also talked to my boss and I got the afternoon off?

Yeah D, it's my job to make Jim feel old. I remember when stamps were 25 cents, and I grew up without cable, does that count? :D

Nope. You have to remember all the way back to stamps being twelve cents. And the crazy guy who always bought gasoline by the quarter ("sir, may I have another twenty five cents of good Gulf gasoline please?"). If you can remember those, THEN you can try to make Jim feel old!!!!!

Okay now this thread is about ME!!!

So I posted in the Loon thread, and maybe here, that my work team brought me out for Japanese. www.takisteakhouse.com

For my birthday the restaurant gives a free dessert or t-shirt. Yes, much to the amazement of my son, I chose clothing over food. :eek: So the shirt has the restaurant name on front and "GOT RICE?" on the back.

Well they also got permission from our boss to give me the afternoon off.

The rest of the afternoon:

I had a decaf espresso.
I went to QT with my friend Doug for a dMD
I went to Stogdills and looked at tvs.
I went next door to the library and faceplanted(facebook=fb).
I went to Kum N Go for a cherry dMD and picked up my son from work.
I watched basketball, ate a lot of cookies, and got a tummy ache.

Don’t ever come back to work after an afternoon off in the middle of the week!!!
