Is selcting the sex of a baby through scientific means wrong?

I think not...and was curious if anyone knows how much it cost?

They do it by separating the sperm....and also wondering how accurate it is?

I'd have to say that the only time it would be wrong, would depend on your reason for doing it. For example, someone who thinks women are worth less than men, and therefore would rather have a male. A good example of this, would be a certain culture, that believes their ancestry is sacred, and will only continue to exist through the means of a man, while the woman is merely a vessel. Since this certain culture is presently limited to one child per couple (all but rural and certain ethnic backgrounds) by their government, then most of them abandon the females. This has caused a surge in males, and less females which puts the entire country in danger in the next few generations. However, as an absolute, no. I don't think there's anything wrong in using science to our advantage.

What's interesting, is that this specific country I'm talking about has also used gender selection for a while by means of ultra-sound. I should also mention that the country only has social security for males, which motivates more non-traditional couples to select the proper gender in order to guarantee them financial security when they're older.
