There is a song that we have sung at church 4 or 5 times & it always makes me cry!
We sang it again about 2 weeks ago & I couldn't stop the tears from streaming down my cheeks!

I didn't even know the name of the song so I did an internet search. I THOUGHT it was called "Worthy is the Lamb That was Slain."
After finding 3 or 4 songs with SOME of the same lyrics, I finally found the right one. It's called "Revelation Song."

REVELATION SONG
Worthy is the, Lamb who was slain
Holy, Holy, is He
Sing a new song, to Him who sits on
Heaven's mercy seat
[2X]

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come
With all creation I sing
Praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything
And I will adore You

Clothed in rainbows, of living color
Flashes of lightning, rolls of thunder
Blessing and honor, strength and glory and power be
to You the only wise King, yeah

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come, yeah
With all creation I sing
Praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything
And I will adore You

Filled with wonder, awestruck wonder
At the mention of Your name
Jesus, Your name is power
Breath and living water
Such a marvelous mystery,
Yeah...

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come, yeah
With all creation I sing
Praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything
And I will adore You
[3X]

Here is Kari Jobe singing it:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_3W8XI7W2w&feature=related

For All the Times Vanessa Kersting

For all the times you don't get told
Hear Me say I love you
For all the times you don't feel beautiful
Hear Me say you're beautiful wonderful
This is not who you are
This is not who you are
You're Mine you're Mine
For all the times you feel alone hear me say I love you

For all the times that you were told that no-one would care
Feel My heart beat for you
For all the times you don't feel good enough
Hear me say you're worth more than you know
This is not who you are
This is not who you are
You're Mine you're Mine
For all the times it gets too much feel My arms hold you

This is not who you are
This is not who you are
You're Mine you're Mine
For all the times you don't get told
Hear Me say I love you

*From Vanessa's Myspace Blog "Behind the Lyrics"*

Have you ever had a day where you don't feel good enough for something? Not beautiful enough? Not loved enough? These are lies that I think we all struggle with. I know for me there are some days that I cannot shake these lies. They tare at my soul and my identity as they continually tell me I just don't measure up.

One day while I was drowning in the lies I started to hear some words being sung. The lyrics went.

…'For all the times you don't get told hear Me say I love you
For all the times you don't feel beautiful hear Me say you're beautiful wonderful'…

I started to realise that for every time I would say I was not something Christ would come back and say yes you are. When I would say I am not beautiful enough Christ would say yes you are. You are beautiful. When I would say I'm not loved enough Christ would say yes you are. And when I would say I am not worth much at all, Christ would say you are worth SO much more than you know.

Christ stands in the middle of our darkness, pain, brokenness and shame and says this is not who you are – You are mine. I made you for greatness.

This song is a little reminder for the days when the lies scream louder than the truth. I hope it will encourage you and help give you a little space to breathe the way it has done for me.

Good to hear from you UNSTEREO...been a while...

many songs do, but Freebird is a definite for me. The story of that plane crash and the members dying in each others arms is beyond sad. Just a bunch of kids wanting to play music...and they got swallowed up...

"When the Children Cry" is a beautiful song...been used many a time with dubbed over media clips to commemorate different tragedies.

That's actually a myth/false story/lie - whatever you wanna call it. Billy Powell (God rest his soul) erroneously told the story of Cassie Gaines (guitarist Steve Gaines' sister) dying in his arms - but nothing could be further from the truth. She died from a single blow to her head, IIRC.

Now...songs that make me cry....(I really didn't wanna answer this but...here goes):

"Revelation Song" (Kari Jobe)

"When I Get Where I'm Going" (Brad Paisley)

"He Stopped Loving Her Today" (George Jones)

"I"m No Stranger To The Rain" (Keith Whitley)

"I'm Over You" (Keith Whitley)

"Sara Beth" (Rascal Flatts)

"Cry Out To Jesus" (our beloved Third Day)

"What Hurts The Most" (Rascal Flatts) (I change the station/channel immediately if this song comes on.....)

"Freebird" (Lynyrd Skynyrd)

"Go Rest High On That Mountain" (Vince Gill)

"Always On My Mind" (Elvis Presley)

"I'm Leavin'" (Elvis Presley) - when this song is combined with footage from his funeral it never fails to bring me to tears. It's one song that I want played at my own funeral - if Jesus doesn't come back first.

"When The Rain Comes" - (Third Day) - This song has ministered to me so many times because it lets me know that God is there for me when the storms of life are thundering around me and that He will be there to hold me - and that I have friends/family to lean on in times of trouble/need.

Can't say I've ever bawled, but O Glory Laud and Honor on Palm Sunday seems to jerk at my emotions, usually because of the procession that goes along with it

I would definitely add "The Christmas Shoes" to my list, as well as "Cinderella." The first few times I heard those songs I had to change the radio station! I'm still not sure I can listen to "The Christmas Shoes."

Oh! I forgot about Cinderella!
definitely... saw Steven Curtis Chapman this summer after a Braves game... there was a pretty bad storm (lots of wind and rain... doesn't go over well in a stadium) and they postponed the concert about an hour. When he was ready to play, it was still to wet to have all the equipment, so he just did the whole thing acoustic. When he did Cinderella and changed the ending to "the truth is the dance will go on", my aunt and I both started crying. Beautiful song.

"God of Wonders" (Third Day)

Also "How Great Thou Art"

I agree about "Christmas Shoes" and now especially with the tragic loss of Stephen Curtis Chapman's daughter, I can't listen to "Cinderella" without hurting in my heart for the family.

Wow, haven't heard that song in years. It doesn't bring me to tears tho.

Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,
And there proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!"

Any tear-jerker song does it to me. I'm extremely empathetic (some might even leave off the "em" ;) ). I'm always the first one in my family to cry over certain movie scenes or "sad" songs. I've been like this since childhood, and I thought some day I would grow out of it -- instead it just gets "worse". :o

Any song about needs/longings unfulfilled, loss, rejection, someone facing injustice and yet offering grace, or incredible reunions always get me -- but I guess just about everything does.

I used to be worried about this because being a guy and a "cry-baby" can be interpreted as being weak. However, when I have been faced with situations where I needed to protect someone else and show courage, I'm a tiger -- I come out fighting fearlessly. The four times this has happened in my life, it was the other guy who ended up backing down (or running from me) -- even though 3 out of the four times the person was a lot bigger than me.

Recently, 'Cry Out To Jesus" has been turning on the waterworks with, "there is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary and love for the broken heart. There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing, He'll meet you wherever you are." Also 'Freebird', Brad Paisley's, 'When I Get Where I'm Going" and Jason Michael Carrol's, 'Alissa Lies".

I'm not much of a crier. Something has to be very moving to me in order for me to cry.

But the first time I heard The Christmas Shoes I bawled.

There are a lot of songs, however, that I could list that make my soul cry, even if I've never physically shed a tear while listening to them.

Saw 2nd Chapter of Acts in concert once. Out in Cheyenne, Wy. Sat in second row. One of their guitar players was not there and my girlfriend yelled out that I played guitar, and Annie Herring looked at me and asked me if I wanted to join them. I hadn't a clue to any of their music, so I declined. I was only 18yr at the time.
