I doubt KLOVE would mention anything that has to do with another radio station, the competition, especially a secular station.

Whew! We just won a long hard battle against Ryan Star's "Long Train Home" on San Diego's Sophie 103.7. And I mean it was a long, hard battle! I know a bunch of us were clicking and clicking like mad-Gomers right up until the deadline! But with 1% of the vote, Third Day's "Slow Down" has won!

Here's the original thread, with the first battle in it. (http://www.thirdday.com/boards/showthread.php?t=107257) I wanted to start a new thread so it's fresh and people didn't have to weed through the old one to get to the new challenge.

Now it's time for the second challenge. Third Day's song "Slow Down", is going up against Depeche Mode's "Wrong".

I've sent an email to the station to see if all that voting we're doing actually counts, or if they only count one from each IP. Until we find out for sure, vote as much as you can! Last time, we really didn't put as much of an effort into it until the last couple of days, so this week we have an advantage. Let's not take for granted that Third Day will win. I would consider them sort of a secular alternative rock band. They have a couple of good songs. I had never heard of them until Marty Casey performed one of their songs on RockStar INXS which he by the way performed better than they do.

Whether the Killer's knew there was a challenge going on, listeners did, there was some resistance, still, I think others are voting fairly for the best. If I was voting for the best song, regardless of who I love, it would be Slow Down.

I was kind of thinking that it just really is set up so that the defending champion always at least starts out with the upper hand, unless of course the fans voting lose interest or can't continue for some reason. We never know how long it is before fans of the challenger get wind of the contest.

So even though I knew I'd still be clicking away for "Slow Down", this is Tesla one of my old fave bands from way back when. Since I do like them, I had to take a listen as well. I agree about the song, it was just okay. I love "Love Song" too! And "Alot to Lose" & "Paradise", among other "old school" Tesla songs! But even those, which I consider the best of Tesla, would still not get my vote over Third Day! So that's where I stand! ;) No big surprise there!

If this is a new tune then they've really lost their edge IMHO. they need to go back to their roots. Edicson's Medicine was on their hit album "Pyschotic Supper" and basically tells the story of Nikola Tesla whom the band is named after. That song totally rocks the Llama. I'm not sure what happened, but every time I voted the percentage went down for 3D and up for Solarcade? It now shows 60% for 3D and 40% for Solarcade. I didn't see the percentages move that fast when we were voting on the last challenges.

It is a mystery because we cannot see what is happening with the numbers and how many total votes there actually are. I do know is we can only see the full percent. What I mean by that is 92%, 65%, etc. We do not see the 61.12%. 61.25% etc. So, it could very well take a lot of votes to move it 62% depending on how many actual total votes there are. From what it sounds like, a lot of voting has been going on.

Keep it, I'm hitting the hay. I'll be getting started early in the morning though. Have a nice night.
