I am still in Green Bay hoping to get out at some point as the snow falls. This is a cool place. I snuck into Green Bay to see Third Day and it was an awesome experience. I even went to Lambeau Field, took a tour, viewed the Packer Museum and saw this great band from Atlanta, all in one day.
The venue was small and packed but it rocked. Sold out and in all seriousness, the sound was fantastic. From This is Who I Am, to Revelation, the concert was fantastic. I am glad I took the adventure at the front end of a tour to see what they sounded like when they are really fresh. They took a bit from the old U2 days and recent Coldplay tour and played in the crowd which was just fantastic and fans loved it. Mac never ever sounded better on Thief then he did Saturday night. It was powerful. Slowdown was really, really good.
The 1000 Hills Coffee company add to the tour is a great addition and hopefully can continue with the tour. It was great to visit with Jonathon and talk about his passion for those growing the coffee in Rwanda.
I know, I probably overuse superlatives in discussing Third Day but they really hit it out of the park last night. It really was that good.
Anyhow, I am now anxious to get back to 72 degree temps and plenty of sunshine, so hopefully I can get out this afternoon. I enjoy seeing snow but I think I like the warmer climes better.
Love those cheeseheads! :)
PS The other artists are very good and they sold lots of cds judging by the autograph lines at their merch tables. Revive's new album is coproduced by our own Mac Powell, so you know its good stuff.
