OK, I don't know if anything on this topic yet, but a while back my mom showed us this video. You HAVE to watch it. You don't have to watch all of it, but just enough to get the point.

It made me really mad, how can they take a cute baby doll for little kids and turn it into something supporting not just islam, but satan. Theres other videos on YouTube about this, mom's have gone on there and showed their doll that they gave to their kid doing the same thing!
Its funny though, because the first time I saw that baby doll it just creeped me out, and that was before i knew it said that!
(please post your thoughts on it after you wtch the video)
Personally I think there are a lot of things that bother me about that doll besides a garbled version of "Islam is the light."

LOL! I loved this part...
The 2006 talking book Potty Time with Elmo had some folks hearing its "Uh-oh! Who has to go?" phrase as "Uh-oh! Who wants to die?" a negative toilet-training message if there ever was one.

What's the deal with the statment about a "Chinese girl with a blond wig, so they can sell more"??? That offends me more than the supposed words the doll is saying.
The thing with the power of suggestion, as mentioned in the snopes article, is that once something has been suggested it is hard to hear anything else. You are biased before you even hear it.

I also noticed that the pastor did not allow the congregation to come to their own conclusion - he told them what they were expected to hear.
He may not have done this on purpose - he comes across as sincere to me.
The best test would be to ask people at random what they think they hear without any suggestions beforehand.
I recall asking people if they could hear the same thing as I could on an old vinyl LP - none of them could. Once I pointed out that the singer said "Rama Krisna, Rama Krisna, Cold Spaghetti Bolognese" they could all hear it clearly. When others were around they would tell them what to hear first before playing the track. Spoiled the test. They could all hear it first time after that.
Having said all that. I do think that the doll is making a noise that sounds like it is saying 'Islam is the Light', as to whether this was intentional or is a trick of the compression of the cooing noises of the doll makes no difference to me.
I would not like my child's first words to be "Islam is the Light" (or any of the coo cooing sounds that emanate from this doll).
I think talking dolls are creepy. Children should learn to speak from real humans not recorded toys.
