Did you see the press release about Third Day being nominated for a flock of Dove Awards? How great is that?! Let me recap for you. Third Day is nominated for:

* Artist of the Year
* Group of the Year
* Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for Revelation
* Special Event Album category: Mac Powell is nominated for his part on How Great Thou Art:
* Gospel Favorites from the Grand Ole Opry (He sang with Charlie Daniels on “I’ll Fly Away")

I know we Gomers get very excited watching the GMA Dove Awards on TV, and even attending the Dove Awards in person at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. But admit it, you feel kinda helpless, waiting to see if Third Day has won, don't you?

Despair no longer! As Debbie said, this year, for the very first time in it's 40 year history, the Gospel Music Association is inviting the fans to vote in two of the top categories, New Artist of the Year and Artist of the Year! Fan voting will open on Feb. 26, the same day online voting opens for GMA members. They are going to continue the voting right up until the time they announce the winners! The cumulative fan vote will account for one-third of the total vote in those two categories.

To vote, we will have to go to either the Gospel Music Channel website (http://www.gospelmusicchannel.co m/) or the Dove Awards website (http://www.doveawards.com) starting Thursday.

Now here's where we get busy Gomers! We know that Third Day is the Artist of the Year, every year! But this is our first best chance to show it!

Spread the word! Get everyone to vote for Third Day for Artist of the Year! We can do this!

You go to the Dove Awards link above in Corrine's message and scroll down and there should be a link that says Cast Your Vote!

You can vote in each category twice. Once on the website and once via text message.

Go to www.GospelMusicChannel.co m/DovesVoting (http://www.GospelMusicChannel.co m/DovesVoting) and fill out your name and email address. Click on the bars that say "Artist of the Year" & "New Artist of the Year" to vote. You may only vote once. If you vote more than once on the website, your vote may be disqualified.

To vote via SMS, send a text message to 72648 with the message DOVE THIRDDAY. (It is not case sensitive.) Go here (http://www.gospelmusicchannel.co m/doves/sms) to see the list of New Artist nominees and their text codes.

Yes, it's working now. I tried Debbie's links earlier today with no luck. Maybe Corrine's is different?

I had a tough time choosing between Tenth Avenue North & Addison Road for new artist.
I finally went with 10th Ave. North since I actually HAVE their CD & l like it quite a bit.
Addison Road is on my list of CDs to pick up when they go on sale. I can't believe I passed it up this summer for $7 at Lifeway! :eek:

we just heard from the president of the GMA that over 200,000 fans have voted for the Dove Award for Artist of the Year and New Artist of the Year. Let's make sure most of these votes are for Third Day!!!

AND grab EVERY cell phone you have available to you and vote by texting DOVE THIRDDAY to 72648!!! The GMA president said that was "creative". He didn't say it was not acceptable according to the rules, so it's okay! Let's do it!
