1. What's one of your nicknames? What do you prefer to be called?Oh my... so many to choose from...people at work call me durango. I really don't have a preference... just not swear words!

2. Are are you more likely to avoid conflict or engage in it head-on? Why?It depends... I don't look for a fight, but I won't run. If you really make me mad, I will start something. Just me. I let it build up and give many chances until I feel like the time's up...

3. Which would you pick: skydive, hang glide, bungee jump, hot air balloon, or kite?Ok. definitely not bungee! I would love to hang glide if it were just me. Hot air balloon with my girl!

4. Can you remember the address of one of your childhood homes? If so, what was it?Well, I most certainly can, but my dad might get mad if I tell the world since he still lives there! I lived in the same house my entire childhood... it was on Lee street in illinois

I get Herky or Marieto most often. :) As long as its not a bad name, I don't care what you call me!

It depends on what kind of conflict it is and who/what is involved. But I'm getting better at being more confident in how I handle things.

Well, I've always thought skydiving or bungee jumping would be fun. I don't know if I've still got nerve enough to try them though!

4. Can you remember the address of one of your childhood homes? If so, what was it? I can remember every address but the one I lived from birth-4 years. My favorite house was at 607 Pickering St. in Montgomery City, MO. It is a big brick house surrounded by a huge yard. When I lived there the yard was surrounded by fields, but they've since been filled with houses.

It depends on the situation. Sometimes I'll let things slide and just move on, but if I am passionate about something, well... look out!

I last moved when I was two. I know where the house is (just around the corner) but I do not remember it.

And at work, they seem to either call me Mama:eek: or Baby Girl:eek: ....Why? I haven't got a clue! As long as it isn't offensive....

1. What's one of your nicknames? What do you prefer to be called? Kara Bara. A lot of my family calls me Karla because of mail that has been addressed to me in that way. My little sister calls me Carol -- also from mail, but also because of an old neighbor. One of my sons friends calls me Lady. I love that. :D I love them all.

Back when I was in school, my band teacher tended to call me "Motormouth", 'cause I always talked too fast. :D

Both, actually. I usually try to avoid a conflict if I can, but if I think I'm being screwed or wronged in some way, I've got no problem standing up for myself. My biggest win? When the apartment manager tried to keep all of our $700 security deposit when we moved out, because our cat peed all over the 9 year old and already stained carpet. Given the age of the carpet, they had no business keeping ANY of it. It took a couple of months, and a letter of complaint hand delivered to the Real Estate Commission to report them, but I got the whole $700 back. "I'm Noko Marie, don't mess with me." (:P Kliban fans will recognize that).

Probably hot air ballooning. Although if I could do one of those tandem skydives, where you are strapped to a professional, I'd love to do that. To do it on my own though, you'd have to push me out of the plane, I don't think my body would LET me jump out of an airplane on my own unless I were strapped to someone and made to go that way.

Not too hard to remember that one, since I actually lived there for 28 years, minus about 3. 3429 Fowler Avenue. Phone number 244-1651 (it's been 16 years and three other phone numbers later, and I STILL remember that one. Funny how the brain works.) Not my house anymore though, Mom and I moved to NC, and Dad sold it and moved to Monterey and then Napa. :(

1. Oh, this one is a hoot. My family (brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, etc.) all call me Mack (my name is Lori). How did this come about, you ask? Well, my dad's joke was always, "they call her Lori because she's built like a truck" (the British refer to a small truck as a lorry, pronounced the same way as my name), and my brother decided that I was a "Mack" truck. But no one else gets to call me that!!!!!:eek:

Depends on the conflict. I tend to think things through, so if I can figure away to stop the arguement, then I'll engage head-on. But otherwise I avoid it at all cost.
