On Wednesday night I was sitting at my computer desk and I had this strange desire to start writing. I never write stuff like this and I don't like writing. I dont know what it was at first until later on all the sudden this poem started flowing out of me as if God was speaking to me as I was writing and I know it was Him because I didn't even need to think about what to write it just came.
here it is
The night is dark, the night is cold.
The night is a time where we all grow old
But when the Light comes it dispels the darkness
And we walk in the noonday sun, and that's the time He says, "Well Done"
Open the gates ye angels and let the Children come in.
That is a place where there is no sin.
The World is behind us we have no fear.
every care of life and the things we thought we held so dear.
The Children of God are all Home now
God has led us to this place without fail.
So my child, if you happen to read this in a time of distress,
just remember who you are, whose you are and you will be blessed.
I wrote this on Wednesday night and the very next morning a lady in our church died. it didn't register until last night that I wrote it for her and those that are grieving. She might not have read it but still....I hope this also may be a blessing to some of you too. That may be grieving over the loss of a loved one.
