It's finally down to the last game. Remember, this one is worth 7 points. Since we have two weeks to wait for this one, play analyst and explain why you make the pick you do.

SUN, FEB 1
Pittsburgh at Arizona

Too much defense from the Steelers; they're also able to control the clock with their ground game and limit the opportunities for the Cardinal offense. Pittsburgh by 10.

And on a side note, anyone else hear about the two Cardinal fans who used gasoline to burn the message "Go Cardinals" into Donovan McNabbs lawn a couple of days before the game? (The McNabb family has a house in Chandler and live there during the off-season). Morons........:(

Okay, I'm going with THE STEELERS.

Reason - primarily defense. I didn't think they would be able to stop the Ravens, but they did. Surprised me.

But the real truth here is this: the only way I can beat Jason at this little game is to go with the Steelers, and they win. If Arizona wins, well, Jason has this one sewn up! :P

Ummmmm.....

My points don't count (except for bragging rights) because I'm a moderator.

I'm picking Arizona, because I feel like cheering for the underdog.

You actually thought that the Steeler defense that ranked first in every category except against the run, which they were second, couldn't stop the Ravens?

Many teams that I thought could stop the Ravens DIDN'T stop the blackbirds. As I said, I was surprised that someone did stop them! GO STEELERS!!!!!

I'm picking Arizona !!!!!

I think they just might be able to pull this off like the Giants did last year. I'd also like to see Warner win this one.

When it comes to Super Bowls, I'm usually a fan of the underdog anyway :) .

I like Warner in the big game with the fitzgerald/boldin combo. They are just playing to hot right now

I am going with the Cardinals simply because of Kurt Warner. I should be for Pittsburgh as my Mom's family is from there. It will be a great game I am sure no matter who wins. I can't believe I am in the lead. Still don't know how that happened but I love it! So Jason can't win because he is a mod? Sorry buddy! I want the Cards to win for you!

GO CARDINALS! We love that you flew south for the winter to Tampa!!

Looking forward to seeing Bruce Springsteen and praying Jennifer Hudson can make it through the National Anthem and the press just leaves her alone.

Reasons the Cardinals will win:
Kurt Warner deserves it
Larry Fitzgerald is in a zone of his own
Destiny

Reasons the Steelers will win:
Tradition
Defense
Experience

Pick:
Steelers in a blowout.

Steelers in a blowout? They may win. But a blowout? I don't think so.

We'll be watching Puppy Bowl V, with the Kitten Half Time Show, on Animal Planet. At least part of the time anyway... :D

Who needs Springsteen during half time, when you can watch KITTENS!? :P

Okay - on a serious note. It may not be a rout, but past history has shown that great defense will overcome great offense more often than not. We're talking about giving the best defensive coordinator in the game - with the leagues best defense - two weeks to figure out a way to stop Fitzgerald and Warner. I just can't see the Cards offense lighting up the scoreboard against a Dick LeBeau defense that has been the best in the game all year.

But I think Bruce in the haltime show will be the real highlight of the game.......:D

Got it on right now! I'm pulling for the Austrailian Shepherd.

Sorry, Jason. Maybe blowout was not the right choice of words. What I meant to say is that the Steelers will win by a lopsided margin of the type that will have America wishing that there was a mercy rule so that we could get to the new episode of The Office sooner!

Still wrong.

Reasons:
Warner-Fitzgerald
The '05 winning Steelers had their plays called by a man named Ken Whisenhunt
The Cardinals have scored 30 pts. or more in the the three previous playoff games

What a great Super Bowl and a tight picks race on top of that! We have a tie for the winning score with BeGlorifiedInMe and LesIsMore with 17 points each. Even though his beloved Cardinals did not win, Jason still won the moderator point title.

Thanks to everyone for playing this year and making this a fun highlight of the year in our forum. If anyone has any ideas of other games we can play, PM me and let me know.

I watched the Puppy Bowl too, but skipped halftime. (I'm not a cat person.) I was so happy Matilda was MVP, she's a cutie. :D

Sirius and Smoke don't need a cat to get exercise, that's what you are for! :P :D

As if the lopsided loss to the Niners wasn't enough, my 6th Grade Science teacher was a huge Niners fan. He didn't brag too much, but I think some of the boys in my class wanted to throw something at him.
