About 2 years late G.W. Bush (the liberal) finally commuted the sentences of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. It's great news for their families but shame on the US [in]Justice system for putting them behind bars in the first place. I am most pleased about their sentences being commuted.

Right...They weren't freed. The sentences were commuted which still implies a wrongdoing. They were not pardoned and will probably remain incarcerated for a few more weeks before they are released.
I think it is insane that they were locked up in the first place! Should they have done things differently, sure but they did nothing criminal.

Exactly the charge of tampering with evidence or what the media called "covering up" was cleared at appeal.
These men just did their jobs and we let them down as a society.
