How is your team doing this offseason?

Do the Yankees have any limit to their spending? Will it make a difference?

How wierd will it be to see John Smoltz in Boston and Trevor Hoffman in Milwaukee?

The Rockies are doing reasonably well. I'm still not happy about them trading Matt Holliday, but I guess they probably did what they had to, and I'm interested to see how Huston Street pans out. I'm very glad to see they got Jason Marquis for Luis Vizcaino, since I really wasn't impressed with Vizcaino, and Marquis should solidify the starting rotation. It would be nice if they could get Josh Fogg back again, which they are interested in, since that would really make me feel good about the rotation.

Well, no more Randy Johnson. Would've liked to see him finish his career here. Same thing I said about Luis Gonzales. The Dbacks need some history besides being the youngest team to win the World Series.

Smoltz in Boston IS weird.

The Reds are not doing bad. Willy Taveres is good but not great. Would have liked Jerry Hairston Jr for more than one year. They just cannot spend big being a small- to mid-market team. But of the rumors let me give Abreu a 50-50 shot as the right handed hitting left fielder they want.

They have some of the best young one-two pitching combos in Volquez and Cueto and they keep me excited in the team.

Oh, that another thing that I'm not really happy about. Willy Taveras. He didn't have the best year hitting, but I know he can do better than what he did last year, and if he does get on, he can be to third base two pitches into the next batter. :P

Lowe and a former japanese league MVP to atlanta. Nothing great in the rotation, but a huge upgrade from a year ago. If Atlanta hits, they will compete.

After Santana, the Mets have nobody in their rotation. And while they seriously upgraded the bullpen this year, 2 september choke jobs dont cause any fear. I'm more afraid of the Marlins than I am of the Mets.

Smoltz isnt a reliable option. I hate to see him go and I wish he would have taken a hometown discount, but if he had of, Lowe may be a Met now and Lowe has owned the braves.

Mets would have won the division by ten games or more if Putz and K Rod had been in the pen last season. I know this because everyday ESPN kept track. And John Maine is a solid pitcher, Mike Pelfrey has really come into his own, Oliver Perez will be back who in 2007 won 15 games, and Redding won 10 games last year and is the Mets fifth starter. They also have a real promising young guy in jonathan niese. I think their rotation will be just fine. The choke jobs were a direct result of the bullpen being a travesty, can't toss that aside.

Smoltz in Boston has pretty much ruined baseball for me. I don't even care any more.

Well, back in 92/93. My Blue Jays were winning the World Series, not so much lately. Now, my team is kinda like a farm team for other teams. When we have a great player, he often gets traded to another power-house team. Canada lost some NHL teams to the States, they might aswell move the Blue Jays to Alaska...

Is moving to Alaska legal? :P

Jacque Jones signed by the Reds - I might take .285 and be happy.
