It took weeks for the founding fathers Declariation of Independence to reach the King in Britian. That same document today could go from New York to London overnight... Better yet, it could be simply faxed.

The Founding Fathers were the best and the brightest of their time, but times have changed. The Global economy is here, and here to stay. The whole world is now in play for global resourses. We saw this this past year with the Rise and Fall of Oil based primarly on China's surging, then waining demand.

As a Nation, we need to do what is necessary to make sure that we are in a place where the world buys from us.

And to be honest, globalism doesn't have to mean just the fat cats get rich. We as consumers have the obligation to vote with our money when purchasing goods and services.

One of the reasons I love Starbucks, is that they provide benefits to even their PT employees. I don't necessarly agree with all of their liberal leanings, but as an employer they seem to geniunly care for their workforce.
