From the video clip I saw, it almost looked like Bush was laughing as it happened. Sort of ironic that the Saddam statue got the shoe treatment and now Bush gets it.

George Bush has good reactions. He managed to duck both shoes very well.

BTW, did you notice the bloke standing next to Bush? He tried to block the second shot. Talk about being allies! It's just a pity many people now think the journalist is a national hero. :rolleyes:

If that is his lasting legacy - an Iraqi reporter disliked him enough to throw shoes at him - then he has done a good job as prez.
