I'm trying to play my sony mp3 through my Boss me-30 and just using headphones I can hardly hear the music. The guitar sound is not bad, it could be louder. I have the mp3 volume all the way up. Does the mp3 need a boost? I know the headphones and cables are all good. I've played cd's from my stereo through the aux jack and the sound was ok. I need to eliminate the amp and just use the proccessor because of space. If this doesn't work out can anyone reccomend an small amp that you can hook an mp3 to? Thanks.
I don't understand what you're trying to do. You want to play music from a sony mp3 player (an mp3 is an audio file, or the technique used to make such a file) through headphones? What's the pedal got to do with it and why aren't you plugging your headphones into your mp3 players??

The Boss ME-30 proccessor is for my guitar. I want to jam with the mp3. The sound is fine if I just use the headphones with the mp3. There's an auxillary jack on the back of the proccessor for an external input (cd, radio, mp3, etc.) I know I've played cd's through it before and the sound was good.
