A whisper and a scream
Tears mixed with sweat
Mingled down in tiny streams
This was no longer just a threat
This was for real no more games
I crashed thru the woods
I hear him whispering my name
I ran faster
I couldn't pay the price
I tripped over a vine
I hear him once twice
I roll to the right
Hiding under the protection
Wet leaves all around me
He runs by then silence
Why oh why can't he just let me be
I start to sit up when I hear leaves
I'm up and running again
I hear him crashing thru the leaves
Why oh why me
Time and time again
I look back
He's getting closer
Suddenly i'm stopped in my tracks
I fall to the ground
He's even closer
Out of nowhere this hand reaches out to me
I had no other choice....
I grabbed the hand offered me
He's here now clawing at me
My strength fails me
The Stranger whom i'd run into
Still held my hand a comforter
My rock in the midst of this storm
Then just like that my tormentor is gone
I turn to thank my Savior
Only to find I am totally alone
I turn to make my way back
Walking silent through this forest
The trees no longer seem to close in
I am no longer scared
I make it to the road
Its a full moon
There on the road is my shadow
With two winged figures on either side
I knew my Lord was there
He will never leave me nor forsake me...
