I am going to see TSO tomorrow night in Jacksonville, anyone here ever been? After watching the Youtube videos I think it should be pretty good. The lights & pyro are imprssive.

Someone told me at church that $1M is spent each week on the pyrotechnics.

I searched tix the other day just for fun since it is coming to town.

Only $1M???? :P

Never made it to a TSO show, but their lights are INSANE! Only seen it on TV....would LOVE to see it live someday. But tickets are expensive!

TSO is coming to Raleigh later this month, and my sister said she'd get me tickets as an early Christmas present since she knew I wanted to go (she took my mom a few years ago, but didn't think to ask me if I wanted to go then  ).

Alas, tickets have been on sale for quite a while, and she's still not gotten them for financial reasons as of yet, so I'm not counting on going this year either, since the odds of finding 5 good seats together just a few weeks before the show are pretty much slim to none... :(

Ah, well. If I really REALLY wanted to go this year, I'd get a ticket myself, but I just put out the money for a pair of $80 hockey tickets for New Years Eve instead, so maybe next year. :)

TSO is supposed to put on a really impressive show. You might want to bring earplugs though, it's supposedly really REALLY loud.

You do know that most of the members of Trans-Siberian Orchastra are really the members of the Metal band SavaTage?

Take a listen to the:

"Gutter Ballet" CD
"Edge of Thorns" CD
"Wake of Magellian" CD
and "Dead Winter Dead" CD from SavaTage.

All of those CDs there sounds EXACTLY like Trans-Siberian Orchastra right down the fine details. Even though those SavaTage CDs came out from 20 years down to about 5 years before there even was a Trans-Siberian Orchastra.

I still have TSO/SavaTage's Christmas CDs, and I used to have the "Beethoven's Last Night" CD but I gave that one away to a friend.

Awesome Christmas Metal right there, and I highly recommend those certain SavaTage CDs right there that I just mentioned if you want to hear the formation of TSO's overall sound.

We went to see TSO about 3 years ago now. I have to say that it was the best concert that I have ever been to. It is far more than just a concert. It is a Christmas experience. You will enjoy it !!

Ooh, ooh, I did! In fact they hail from my neck of the woods. I can even sing bits of Gutter Ballet and Dead Winter Dead.
