Standing in the Gap

I am wondering about it... I offered to stand for my friends recently, and I am wondering how you feel when you are doing it.

Can you tell me about your experiences?

What are you talking about? Sorry - I don't understand what it was that you were doing... can you be a bit more detailed?

From my understanding, it means using your spirit to "plug holes" in their spritual hedge. To protect some one when they are weak, or spiritually attacked.

I found this when I looked online:

"And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. "
Ezekiel 22:30

So I am trying to figure out what it all means.
