My wonderful wife has gotten me an early Christmas present.........tickets to see Neil Young in Chicago!!! Most excellent!! I'll be taking my son Cody, who is an avid music lover. Can't wait 'til Dec. 9th!!!

Cool - I am sure it will be enjoyable. I have never seen Neil Young live :(

I have all Neil Young's LPs (vinyl albums). I stopped getting them when he went over to compact disc format.

When I listen to Neil Young it brings back memories stretching back over 35 years - my sister gave me a 45rpm single of his when I was about ten years old (When you dance/After the Goldrush), it had been given to her by a lad called Robin Coulton as a present. The first LP I got was Tonight's the Night, which was a bit of a shocker (I did not like it at the time) but after a few years it became (and still is) my favourite Neil Young album.

My first Neil cd was Mtv's "unplugged", and for years that was the only one I listened to. About 2 1/2 yrs ago during my divorce I really started getting in to his music. I have about 7 cd's, 4 dvd's and 1 vhs. My fav. is "Live at Massey Hall" which was recorded in 1971. "Old laughing Lady" is my fav. song.

Neil has been around since the sixties. He has his own style of music and songs. He can be rough, and with his ballads be very soft. He can fill an auditorium with his band, or just by himself. Not to many artist can do that. The "Live at Massey Hall" is and example of him by himself. You can find some of his videos on youtube. "Prairie Wind" is one of his latest cd's and you can also find that concert on dvd at your local video store.
He's not for everybody, but he is a strong force in the music industry. Someone commented one time "Bob Dylan wrote about what was going on around him, and Neil wrote about what's going on inside."
