Took a trip with Royal Carribean to Bermuda...

Wow, what a trip...

Some wild highlights:

1. Parked our car at a friends in upstate, NJ. Before we got onj the train a poor drunk/drug addict stumbled out on the road and almost got hit..fell over. No one helped the poor guy..people just walked on and watched on. I had to go help the guy...who was really out there...on something...

2. Left my suit/tie in the car for FORMAL night...

3. Left NJ and got into a nasty Low Pressure storm...Hurrican force winds and 30-40' waves. no joke. Wife was seasick all day Sunday. Sat night, the night before was fine...but it got worse and Sunday a lot of people were down. I was queasey but fine.

4. Snorkeled on Mon/Tues...real cool.

5. saw Ross Perot and Michael Douglas' homes, in Bermuda...

6. Was 500' from the starrting point of the Bermuda triangle.

7. Realized on the 3rd day that our trip was FIVE days and not SEVEN....not sure how I got that messed up...

8. Wife left her purse on the subway in NEWARK, NEW JERSEY. 1/2 hr later we found it...all the money and cradit cards in tact. Lucky!

9. Got slightly lost from NJ home...1 hr lost.

10. Came home to find our heater shot...shopped all day for a new heater.

11. Ready for bed now... :cool:

The point of this island starts the Bermuda Triangle. They still lose 12-15 boats per year in the triangle...lost and unexplained.

We snorkeled in that beach/inlet reef.....swmming in crystal clear water and with tons of cool fish and coral all around you. Real cool...

I was kinda out of shape though...so I had a hard time with the current and waves...

Your ship was Royal Carribean? My folks did a 2 weeks cruise with them, and liked it so much they did a second one a few years later. They were very impressed with the ship and the staff. Sounds like RC is still a quality cruise line.
