Dear friend,

I am Mr.Ezikiel Micheal, the director in charge of auditing and accounting section Bank of Africa Ouagadougou Burkina-faso in West Africa with due respect and regard. I have decided to contact you on a business transaction that will be very beneficial to both of us at the end of the transaction.

At the bank's last accounts/auditing evaluations, my staff came across an old account which was being maintained by a foreign client who we learnt was among the deceased passengers of a motor accident on November,2003 and the deceased has been unable to run his account since his death. The account has remained dormant without the knowledge of his family since it was put in a safe deposit account in the bank for future investment by the beneficiary.

Although personally,I keep this information secret within myself and partners to enable the whole plans and idea be Profitable and successful during the time of execution. The said amount was U.S $19.3M (ninetheen million three hundred United States dollars). As it may interest you to know, I got your impressive information through the Bukinab chamber of commerce on foreign business relations here in Ouaga. Burkina-faso.

Meanwhile all the whole arrangement to put claim over this fund as the bonafide next of kin to the deceased, get the required approval and transfer this money to a foreign account has been put in place and directives and needed information will be relayed to you as soon as you indicate your interest and willingness to assist us and also benefit your self to this great business opportunity.

In fact I could have done this deal alone but because of my position in this country as a civil servant(A Banker),we are not allowed to operate a foreign account and would eventually raise an eye brow on my side during the time of transfer because I work in this bank. This is the actual reason why it will require a second party or fellow who will forward claims as the next of kin with affidavit of trust of oath to the Bank and also present a foreign account where he will need the money to be re-transferred into on his request as it may be after due verification and clarification by the correspondent branch of the bank where the whole money will be remitted from to your own designation bank account.

I have decided the sharing as follows:I will not fail to inform you that this transaction is 100% risk free. On smooth conclusion of this transaction, you will be entitled to {39%}being (US$7,527,000.00)will be your share in respect of the account provision and your assistance rendered during the transfer of the fund into your bank account,{ 52% } being (US$10,036,000.00) will be my share being the codinator and the pillar of the transaction while the rest { 9% } being (US$1,737,000.00) will be shared to the respectable Organisations Centers such as Charity Organisation, Motherless Babies homes, and helpless disabled people in the World.

I will be monitoring the whole situation here in this bank until you confirm the money in your account and ask me to come down to your country for subsequent sharing of the fund according to percentages previously indicated and further investment, either in your country or any country you advice us to invest in. All other necessary vital information will be sent to you when I hear from you.

And i want you to assure me solemnly that you are a trsutwothy, reliable, hones t and capable to avoid cheating me in this business. If you are really sure of your integerity, Reply through my private email (ezikiel.micheal02@yahoo. fr) immediatelly you receive this mail for more detailed information on how to process the transfer of the fund into your account will be.Am looking forward hearing from you.
I look forward to receive your phone number and email so that I get back to you.
Yours faithfully,
Dr.Ezikiel Micheal

The safest thing to do is to delete them unopened, but reading them can be quite entertaining. Are there actually people gullible enough to fall for this?

sandie

I heard the same rumour. All of NSW east of Sydney is for sale. ;)

This story is strange, and true. One of the Elders at my church is a financier. He and his business partner have been trying to finance a whole new suburb on the North coast of NSW - $300 million - for the family who own the land. It's a ten year project.

After trying three local banks unsuccessfully, Steve flew to San Diego for two days of talks with a philanthropist a week ago. Didn't see the USA, but has an agreement for the money. Said that the commision, when it comes, could finance our new church, which will cost $1 000 000. He and his wife will pray about where God wants this money to go.

Yes, NSW is going cheap at the moment. You even get to inherit a new State government and record debt! It's the perfect sale!

NurseBettyLu

Hey, we got a mess over here, too! And we don't trust our politicians either! What a coincidence! I can always tell when they're lying, their lips are moving.

The worst variant I ever got was about a terminally ill convert from Arabia whose muslim relatives did everything in their power to keep her from donating her immense wealth to Christian organisations. The scam was also filled with quotes from the Bible, of course, but other than that it was obviously just a variation of the Nigerian letter scam.

sandie

That is a bizarre one.

The Unknown Gomer
10-17-2008, 11:34 AM
It just came in today.

"Compliment of the Day" to you too, bud! :D

What he doesn't tell you is that your share will be coated in lead and melanine.

Compliment Of The Day

It is understandable that you might be a little bit apprehensive because you do not know me but I have a lucrative business proposal of mutual benefits to share with you.

Let me start by introducing myself. I am Mr. Lin Yongze operations manager of the Bank of China (Hong Kong), Eastern Commercial Centre, 393-407 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, HongKong. I have an obscured Business suggestion for you.

In June, 2001, a late client of mine, an Iraqi Crude oil merchant made a numbered fixed deposit of Twenty-one million Five Hundred Thousand United State Dollars (US$21,500,000.00) only in my branch. Upon maturity several notice was sent to him, even during the war (U.S invasion of Iraq), Five years ago (2003). Again after the war, another notification was sent and still no response came from him. We later found out that him and his family had been killed during the war in a bomb blast that hit his home at Mukaradeeb where is personal oil well was.

After further investigation it was also discovered that he did not declare any next of kin in his official papers including the paper work of his bank deposit and he also confided in me the last time he was in my office that no one except me knew of his deposit in my bank. So, Twenty-one million five Hundred Thousand United State Dollars is still lying in my bank and no one will ever come forward to claim it. What bothers me most is that according to the laws of my country at the expiration of seven {7} years the funds will revert to the ownership of the Hong Kong Government if nobody applies to claim the funds.

Against this backdrop, my suggestion to you is that I will like you as a foreigner to stand as the next of kin so that you will be able to receive the funds.

MODALITIES:

I want you to know that I have had everything planned out so that we shall come out successful. I have an attorney that will prepare the necessary document that will back you up as the next of kin AT NO COST OF YOURS, all that is required from you is to provide me with your Full Names and Address so that the attorney can commence his job. After you have been made the next of kin, the attorney will also fill in for claims on your behalf and secure the necessary approval and letter of probate in your favor for the movement of the funds to an account that will be provided by you. We are going to adopt a legalized method and the attorney will prepare all the necessary documents in your favor.

There is a reward for this project and it is a task well worth undertaking. There is no risk involved at all in this transaction, I have evaluated the risks and the only risk I have here is for you refusing to work with me and alerting my bank. I am the only one who knows of this situation, good fortune has blessed you with a name that has planted you into the center of relevance in my life. Please endeavor to observe utmost discretion in all matters concerning this issue. Once the funds have been transferred to your nominated bank account we shall share in the ratio of 60% for me, 10% for legal and other miscellaneous expenses and 30% for you but this can be subjected to further negotiations. I send you this mail not without a measure of fear as to what the consequences, but I know within me that nothing ventured is nothing gained and that success and riches never come easy or on a platter of gold. Please observe this instruction religiously.

Should you be interested please send me your,

1, Full names,
2, Private phone number(s),
3, Current contact address,

And I will prefer you reach me on my private email address: yonglinyong@yahoo.cn and finally after that I shall furnish you with more information's about this operation. Your earliest response to this letter will be appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Lin Yongze.

scam!!!!!!

not sure why it took so long for someone to say it??

You don't necessarily have to have the internet to relieve stupid people of their money. A few months back, there was this guy standing outside my bank after hours dressed as a security guard. He was telling night drop customers that the night deposit box was out of order (now, how does a box be out of order???), and they were to leave their deposits with him until the bank corrected the problem, then he would deposit their money for them. People were actually giving this man their deposits. Sheesh.

sandie
10-17-2008, 12:35 PM
Was that scam or scram? :D

Actually, the Chinese letter was in good English (not Chinglish), apart from 'information's.' It would probably have been written by a native English speaker.

While we're on the subject of scams, I haven't been offered a Russian bride for a while! They are always whispering my name, waiting to meet me and wishing we could be together. Sadly, none of these ladies do anything for me. :P
