The Love Dare is a 40-day devotional for married couples, that is featured in the new movie Fireproof. It is written by Stephen and Alex Kendrick, the producers of the movies Flywheel, Facing The Giants, and Fireproof.
I haven't seen the movie yet, but the couple that teaches our weekly Young and Married Class saw it, and can't wait to get their hands on this book.
My wife and I are 7 days into it, and I can already see the changes in both of us. (Well, I hope the changes are as evident in me as they are in her.) The first thing the book addresses, is negativity in word and thought, and cutting it off completely between you and your spouse.
Only being 7 days into this book, I won't go much further with any "review" other than to say, for myself and my wife, it has had an immediate impact, and that it's based on Scriptural principles.
The titles of the chapters we've read so far:
Love is patient.
Love is kind.
Love is not selfish.
Love is thoughtful.
Love is not rude.
Love is not irritable.
Love believes the best.
