A Petition to members of Third Day:

Here ye, here ye, oh melodious and auditory pleasing members of the great band Third Day –

While I, being a fan of Third Day since I first heard Mac crooning in early 1997 and was utterly and instantly blown away, and forever and always a die hard Third Day fan, realize that Third Day concerts are not entirely democratic, do hereby kindly, politely, and respectfully request the following:

On the 31st of October, Two Thousand and Eight, in the city of Champaign, Illinois at the University of Assembly hall, for the talented members of the glorious band Third Day to play the worshipful "Take It All" written by none other than Dr Mark Lee (thank you Dr Lee for your wonderful song).

Whereas I am but only one of two attendees at the concert (since other attendees currently remain silent), I am only 50% of the majority. Pleasantly however, the other attendee and front rowdie,
Kapela316, is also a fan of Take It All. Therefore, the only 2 attendees (e.g. 100% of attendees) currently mentioning attendence (as indicated by the boards) at Champaign both request the extraordinary playing of “Take It All”. At one point in our short time on Earth, Kapela316 requested such spectacular tune during a concert she attended. Regretably, she was informed by one Mac Powell that he didn’t know a song by that title (see (Muskegon, MI http://www.thirdday.com/boards/showthread.php?t=104840 post for further info). Therefore, as proposed by Kapela316 (see Champaign, IL 10/31 post http://www.thirdday.com/boards/showthread.php?t=105378 ), she and I will, if necessary, hold up signs with all the lyrics and chords for said wonderful song, “Take It All”.

Whilst it is recognized that Kapela316 and myself are not the only fans of Third Day, let it be noted that many other fans of Third Day similarly have fondness of marvelous song, “Take It All”. As a complete search of the boards is impossible due to the commonality of the words Take, It, and All, a non-scientific search was conducted of a Favorite Song from Revelation post (see http://www.thirdday.com/boards/showthread.php?t=102960). The following adoring fans of Third Day agree directly or indirectly with said affinity for the glorious song, “Take It All”:

My favorite songs always change, and I love them all, but I'm really touched by Take it All and Revelation right now.

I think now that I listened to all the songs over and over again, my favorite song on the album is Born Again. Then, the songs Run To You, Take It All, Slow Down and Let Me Love You are tied for the runner-ups.

Well I'm still trying to figure out my favorite. I think it will be determined by what is going in my life at the time I'm listening to the cd (that is how it is with "Wherever You Are"). Having said that I keep replaying "Take it All".
I have struggled for years to give God ALLLLLLL of me and ALLLLL of my problems and issues. This song touches my soul!
Currently - I like Ready and Take it All.


Right now, "Take It All" is high on my list, but I love every song. The radio announcer on one of the stations I listen to, said the other day that this is his favorite CD, and that this is Third Day's best CD yet! He joked with his co-host that he might let her borrow it by the year 2010 when he might be getting tired of it, lol.

I really like the songs Call My Name, Revelation, Born Again, Take It All. Those are my top favorites on the cd. Marjan:D

Hmmm... I can't really decide, because "Otherside" really fuels my rock & roll side, but "I Will Always Be True" just sounds like an immediate classic (not to mention I like 3D's southern-rock-love-song side here), while "Take It All" is so melodic, so harmonious, and lyrically so well-crafted.



I was pretty messed up as I first heard the lyrics of "Take It All". No other group out their affects me that way.

Thusly, closing the appeal to most rocking members of Third Day, if said appeal is rejected, I will be forced to continue to be a rocking, thankful, grateful, prayerful, dedicated fan of the most excellent band in the land, Third Day, despite the devastation and heartbreaking emptiness of a concert without most pleasing song, “Take It All”. With tremendous praise and thanks for your tireless and dedicated servanthood of our glorious savior Jesus Christ, even in the regrettable event the request for the most excellent playing of “Take It All” is denied...

hahaha that's funny. I think Mac may have misunderstood or something, we talked about that song when i was IN at the build. He was telling me how Mark wrote it and everything. If I wasn't so lazy I'd make signs for him to sing it I love that song...but I am too lazy and my hand writing stinks lol.

Oh yes - this is a great song. LOVE it.

If the guys do this song and I don't go to Champaign and miss out on it, I'll be disappointed.

But happy, of course, for all you who do get to hear it.

Wonderful petition and this is a great song. There didn't seem to be a time during the Raleigh show where Mac was looking for signs, but they did make a change to the set list and played "Run To You" instead of "Always Be True". If you don't get to hear this song next month, there's always the Revelation tour.

I LOVE that song! I don't live anywhere near there, but I hope they play it anyway.
It'll be good practice for the REVELATION tour, which I hope to see in the spring! You can sign me up. :D

Hmmm, if they don't play "Take It All" this time, will have to modify previously mentioned petition regarding said fantabulous song, "Take It All", by most excellent band in the land, Third Day for the Revelation Tour.

Well I haven't seen an official set list for TD Live yet. I'm hoping they will play the beloved song, "Take It All" and begin my appeal in ernest. There's less than a week before the concert -- still enough time for them to rehearse it and give it the fall-on-face-in-worship treatment the song deserves. Can I get some help here? Does anyone hear (or read) me? Crickets....

I can't believe the concert is Friday. Woo hoo! I've waited so long, I didn't think it'd actually get here. I waited longer for Music Builds, but it was the best concert I've ever been to (wife agrees), so that fix helped with the wait for Champaign.

Now my Take It All campaign prep must begin in ernest with the short time left...

I agree, I really, REALLY want this song to be played for the concert! This will be my 2nd Third Day concert! But, 1st as a Wired member. And, back when I went to my first concert, I didn't know any better that that Third Day was just your tipical Christian Rock band. But, now, I am a die hard fan of the best band on the Earth, Third Day! And, "Take it All" is in my top 5 songs!

'Take It All' is just one of many favorites... but it's definitely high on the list! In my opinion, this may be (one of) the best songs Dr. Mark has written! Job well done, Mark! Oh, and to the rest of the band for the music to it!
