Anyone else like it? Favorite acts? I like Eli Mattson, Nuttin' But Stringz, and Joseph Hall.

We're watching!

Let's see, I had to look up the top twenty to see which ones I wanted to see advance.

From last night, I'd pick the following five: Paul Salos, Extreme Dance FX, Neal Boyd, Queen Emily, and probably The Cadence.

And drop: James Gang, David Jens, Zooperstars, and regrettably Jessica Price and The Wright Kids.

From tonight, I'd go with Sarah Lenore (I thought she did a GREAT job on her song tonight, thought it was MUCH better than the first couple she did!), Eli Mattson, Donald Braswell, Nuttin' but Stringz, and Jonathan Burkin.

And on my droplist for tonight: SickStep, Joseph Hall, The Taubl Family, Tapping Dads, and Kaitlyn Maher.

General comments: Tonight's choice was essentially a no-brainer, and I'd HAD Joseph Hall in there to stay, until I remembered Jonathan Burkin. I'm sure Elvis will probably still beat out flaming baton twirler, but for me, I just can't take my eyes off of Burkin's performance, whereas I can with Joseph Hall. And little Kaitlyn is as cute as can be, but at this point, she shouldn't stay on to take a place of someone else more deserving to be in the top 10, just because she's cute.

If Neal Boyd, Donald Braswell (who I voted 10 times for to bring him back in the wildcard spot), and Eli Mattson (who I probably WILL vote 10 times for to help him make it to the top 10) made it into the top three spots, I'd be happy to have either of them win it all, myself. I'm a little concerned about Eli making it though, he's SO low key, and kind of flying under the radar, probably because I don't think they ever showed any of his performances in the first couple of rounds. But he's terrific and definitely deserves Top 10 in my book.

I'm going to be on my way to NY tomorrow night, so will have to watch the results show (which apparently is on at 8, not 8:30, tomorrow night, despite what both our TV guides say) on Monday after I get back.

Yay, my three made it. But Kaitlyn Maher over Jonathan Burkin? She's cute and all, but headlining a Vegas show? I think not.

I've got to go for Jessica Price. She's from Freeport, which is about 45 minutes away from my town. :D So, I have to go for the hometown girl.

I liked Sarah Lenore better, but America didn't.

I really hope Eli or Nuttin' but Stringz win though.

I was glued to the show last night. Picking between the pairs that they matched up to determine who was going to go on to the top 5 was pretty much a no brainer for all of the pairs, except for Jessica going up against Eli.

Out of the 10 they had left, I had the five that were going to the finals picked correctly this time.

I'm trying to remember the pairings now, wasn't it the Wright Kids up against Nuttin But Stringz? THAT was sad, you could see it in the kids faces before it was even announced which of them made it to the finals that they already knew it wasn't them. The correct choice, but still sad for them. That one brother though, who does all the singing... he needs to come back next year as a solo act, he's got more stage presence than the other two put together. As the judges would say, he OWNS that stage when he's up there performing.

And didn't they put little Kaitlyn up against big Neil? Technically a no brainer, but stranger things have happened on that show. Could you have imagined if she'd advanced and he didn't? At least she wasn't sad about not advancing. She probably really didn't care that she lost, I don't think.

And I didn't figure young Elvis would make it, although I'm sure some stage manager someplace will have seen the show and know that he's got a spot on their stage and hire him anyway.

That's what I figure for a lot of these folks who got this far, but are out of the competition now. They got a LOT of exposure, and will probably get picked up by an agent or a manager or something. Kind of like how Clay Aiken came in second, but ended up being bigger than the guy who actually won that year.

The true losers of the night, IMHO? Jessica's family, for being caught on camera actually BOOING when it was announced that Eli won over Jessica. Such poor sportsmanship. How embarrassing for her.

I rarely get winners picked correctly, but I'm thinking Nuttin But Stringz will probably win the whole thing this year. It's them vs 4 singers. I'm figuring that with four singers in the top five, they'll probably end up splitting the "singer" votes four different ways, leaving NBS with the majority of the votes when all is said and done next week.

But then, I also thought that the wrong guy was the Mole a few months back, so who knows. :P

I missed Wednesday's show so I had to look up the results on the internet.

Donald is my least favorite of the five.

Really? He's this close to making my mother forget about her wee crush on Harrison Ford! LOL :P
