I'll give you some support. I love Family Force Five. I used to go to their concerts before the became a big name band, and I know them personally. The boys are great, and I think their music is different but awsome.

Yeah, I have some friends who have met them several times and they say they're all really cool and super nice. And from what little I have seen of them, I gathered the same impression.

I will say a few things about The Phamily, now known as Family Force 5.


The Diamond version CD is good. It is fun and it rocks too.
I can hear The Diamond version songs and lyrics, can you? Face Down, Love Addict - hey, they are great. That is only 2 of the 15 songs. I love the crunk and find it rather addicting. I have pretty much gotten over my addiction to it though.
The last FF5 show I saw in May with the grandkids was sold out and was great. The definitely cater to the younger population and apparently do it because the kids enjoy it. Some adults do to. But something Soul Glo Activator, aka Solomon said I found interesting and perfect for this crowd. He introduced the band as FF5 of course, said, we love Jesus and it is okay to have fun and love Jesus, we like to party and dance for Jesus and if you ain't got Jesus, well, you ain't going to the party. I believe, that FF5 is meeting these kids on their level, in speak, energy etc etc
At the end of the show, the band left the stage. Fatty, aka Josh returned to close in prayer, asked everyone to remove their hats and any kind of head gear :) , and he closed in the most beautiful prayer. He prayed for everyone there, not there, the troups and professed love and praise for Jesus! That rocked and was very moving. His heart is good and in the right place


I'll drag DecembeRadio into this thread for a moment. On their new record, Satisfied, one song called Believer, reminds me of FF5, or makes me think of them. More so because of some of the negativity toward FF5. The lyrics are simple, but more powerful than:

V2: I've got a tattoo of an angel, to remind me that I'm saved/ I got hair down to my shoulders, but don't you be afraid / Don't judge me cause I look this way / It don't matter at all to the old rugged cross /

Chorus: I'll be gone when the trumpet sounds / Ain't nothin gonna hold me down / /I believe in the truth, Lord, I believe in YOU!


Even though their music may not be everyone's cup of tea, look at all of the youth drawn to their music, regardless of the big gloves, their style of entertainment, etc etc...their message is clear if that is what you came to hear. Their hearts, from what I have heard and seen are right where they need to be. It is their hearts I judge. The heart of their intentions. Even though some may not like their music, I'd like to give them credit for their work.

With all that said. Their album #2 is not for me. Techno doesn't work for me in the lest. However, they did a few new songs in May, I enjoyed them much better live than on the record. If you ever get an opportunity to meet these guys, they are so nice, soft spoken and respectful.

and then through thirdday I got into other bands that were touring with them haha Last summer Third Day and Family Force 5 played a show at a Six Flags in Georgia and my dad took me to it. I already loved Family Force 5 but it was super awesome to see those 2 amazing bands together!

I know! They recognize you every time! its so great.. Those guys make you feel so welcome and at home.. But they know us cause our Gomer names :P
Like my Gomer name is Cheese'N Chips but everyone calls me the Little Boat haha
