I have never attended a M & G & had a few questions. Maybe those of you that attended some of the opening Music Builds shows can tell me. I know someone will take our photo with the guys, but are we also allowed to take our own pics at M & G still? Also, just wondering what some of you got them to autograph & what kind of time frame it was to get through the line. Trust me, I know it will be well worth the wait, but I have a child coming with me and a 3 hr. drive home. Just want to know what to expect.

At our meet and greet we were not allowed to do 'pose pictures', in other words we could take pictures of the bands but we couldn't stop and pose with them. Our line was really long so we could only get one item autographed, they provided MBT posters to get signed. Every place may be different but that's how they did it in IN.

Wow, I must have been lucky to go to their first show then. They were taking pictures with everyone, and were definitely signing more than one item. They signed my shirt, and signed some photos I took at the previous concert. I was surprised that they were doing that though, so I guess it was bound to get cut.

I'm just guessing (my show's not until *heavy sigh* mid September), but wasn't Tracey's M&G a special kind of thing, with ALL the bands, not just Third Day? They might have done hers a little differently.
Your M&G might be closer to the standard Music Builds M&G. It definitely sounds closer to what they were doing at the Christmas show M&Gs last year, there weren't any real lines for those, it was kind of just a mingleminglemingle sort of thing. Very cool. :)

I think they did the line up in Chicago. You go thru the line, speak briefly to the band, then turn around & pose for the wired photo. That's per mindyhere. I don't think there is as much informal one-on-one mingling at the new m&g's. I have mixed feelings about that. I liked the casualness, and the ability to speak to each guy, but it was hard to organize and be sure everyone got their shot.

I know that when Andi went to the Christmas show she only got to speak to 2 band members and didn't get any photos at all. I think you almost have to give up some of the casualness to make certain that everyone gets a chance to meet everyone. Some people are not bold enough to butt in and some people aren't considerate enough of others to make it brief. That certainly can't fall on the guy's shoulders to regulate. The Wired photos were a great idea to make sure that everyone gets a chance to say hi to the band and get a picture.

I did see Tracey's pics and wondered about the M&G for this tour too. I'm hoping the Houston one will be informal cause I really want a pic of my son with each of the guys. I guess I've gotten spoiled cause I'm used to that informal setting. :P Either way, I'm thankful for the M&G.

The meet and greet for just the music builds was with all the bands! I think that they did a personal meet and greet for anyone that signed up for wired that night. Still I had a 2 1/2 hour meet and greet so I am blessed and thankful. :D
Calalily glad you liked my blog and pics. I wish I had a digital video camera to actually show you guys what happened...words and pictures just don't do the justice of that day. :)

I hope when we get wired and the meet and greets I can get a picture of each of the guys. I didn't want to bother them that much on that friday. I was happy with what I got. But I would love to have a picture with me and the guys individually and another of me and the band without my GOAS although I do love my gomer girls lol.

When do they usually have Third Day's Meet & Greet on the Music Builds tour.
I am stressing over the fact that Switchfoot's M&G is 15 mins. after their set and runs into Third Day's set. :(
Also, do they e-mail you before the show if you have a meet/greet? I didn't get any feedback when I signed up.

Last year at the Christmas show, I got an email like a day or 2 before the show that confirmed my M&G. From what I understand, that's when you are supposed to get confirmation, just about 24-48 hours in advance.;)

Our concert is tomorrow in Washington, D.C.
I still have not gotten any email confirmation and am starting to wonder if I will at all. The concert is in less than 24 hours and I'm leaving after church tomorrow for the 2 1/2 hour drive.
Is there anything I should do?

Hey, Travis! I didn't get my confirmation until yesterday afternoon for the concert last night. Just check in at the Wired table when you get inside the venue and they have a list of names. If you have one of the old (first) laminates, they'll give you a new one to use tomorrow and from here on out. Wish I were going to be in Bristow tomorrow... last night here at the beach was out of this world!!!!!!! Just can't describe the joy and fun this show brings with it!!!!!!
I hope to get up to the Burg sometime this month. Would be nice to see you at church, but as you must know, Mom & Dad are not really able to come anymore, so when I'm up, I spend all my time at the house with them.

Thanks, Barb!
Still no email this morning, so I guess I'll just do what you said.
I hope to see you when you come, but understand that you spend all your time with your folks.
Please give them my best.

Hey guys! For those of you that have already attended & were worried about getting into the m & g, how did it go? I am a new member and signed up the day that wired opened back up. Our concert is Sept 21 (this Sun) & still haven't rec'd my package or gotten an email confirmation on the meet & greet. Hope that the package comes in as well as that we really got the m & g. Have any of you that are new members gotten your pkg yet?
Don't worry. If you go to the Wired site and it shows you're signed up for a particular m&g, you're in. You'll have to go the Wired table at the venue anyway and they'll have a list with YOUR name on it. If you don't have your pkg by then, they'll give you a laminate to use then.
Just saw them in VABeach (just posted a thread there)... you're going to have a BLAST!
BTW... Welcome to the family, Calalily!

Thanks for the message Barb! I followed your instructions and it worked out great even though I had already left when the email came through.
The Meet and Greet was very well organized and planned out. Everyone was polite and considerate and everyone had sufficient time to get all items signed and pose for pictures. Well worth the money!!!
When my membership is up for renewal, I'll do the family membership so Stormi and the kids can get in with me next time.

Thanks! I'm so excited! Never seen the guys before live so I'm making up for it! Did you take things for them to autograph or do they have something for them to sign? Just wondering what to expect. Next time...I'll take a photo from this M & G for them to sign if possible.

Hi, excuse me for butting in, since I am not Barb, but I was at the Virginia Beach Meet and Greet with Barb, so I don't think she will mind me answering the question.
You are gonna have a ball meeting them. I walked up to Mark to ask him to sign my Wired T-shirt, and he said "high five" before I could get a word out. So I gave him an enthusiastic high-5, and proceeded to tell him how much I love his blog. LOL!! I just love these young men! They are ALL so nice!!
You can take things for them to sign. Or you can buy a poster or shirt at the merch table and take that in with you. I took my Wired shirt, I saw others with the Billboard Magazine for them to sign. Some people asked them to sign the Wired laminate. So take whatever you want to and get them to sign it. I want to hear all about your M&G experience!

ExCUUUUUUSE me, Mary! LOL:D Just kidding... you did a great job of telling what to take. There was one girl getting them all to sign a one dollar bill. I imagine they'll sign ALMOST anything... except for maybe a taco shell or banana peel or something gross  . :P
