Hey, have you by any chance been watching America's Got Talent? A young Elvis impersonator has made it into the top 10. Tonight we get to see if he can make it into the final five for next week after the voting last night.

He's really good, but so are the other 9 people at this point, so I'm thinking he might not make it to the final 5. But he could. I've been wrong before, I didn't think the 4 year old would make it to the top 10, and she did. So I apparently know nuttink! :P

Ehh....I didn't think to write a note. I just seem to be insanely busy these days with church activities and the two bands.

I did find out today that I am allergic to several types of grass and pollen and trees.....can someone just shoot me now?? I have to take allergy shots startin' next week (starting weekly) for a while.....I hate needles!! Help!!

I had coffee with Joe this week. He's been doing 12 hour days to finish a massive submission due in November, and asked for an extra person to help him, and was refused. Then, a friend of an overseas friend offered to help for free while she's in Oz, as it will improve her English. This led to a series of nasty emails, and another refusal. Now, his boss in the office next door hasn't spoken to Joe for a fortnight, and does not answer his emails. He's been told by the IT manager that a series of emails has discussed terminating his employment as soon as the submission is in. :eek: I hope Joe walks now!!!

I'm not alone in this, she is universally despised. I'm talking crowds of angry nurses storming the office with torches and pitchforks. I'm looking for something I really want, but in the meantime, if it gets too bad, there are any number of agencies to work for. All it takes is one phone call. What I really don't want to leave is my little boys. I'm posting photos on boardie pics so you can see what I mean.

Not only has it been a long time since I've seen Third Day, it's been a long time since I've been to a concert, period. I've been experiencing symptoms of withdrawal. :P

I understand, as I'm in the same position. I need better benefits, being a single lady, too. I am much more relaxed teaching adults in the Private colleges than I was teaching children and teenagers in the State system. I don't get headaches! It's a casualised industry, and I need a permanent job with benefits. I said to Joe / Jonathan the other day that if it doesn't sort itself out, I'll have to go back to school teaching. The Lord provided a wonderful Mentor in Joe when he employed me, and I've learned lots in the last two years. It seems strange that I should go back to the Public Schools after this.

I'm going forward for prayer after church tomorrow. I'm also praying for you. Faith is waiting for the Lord to act, and being prepared for His answer, whatever it is.

I did just find out that I'll be checking out the "Terracotta Army" of the First Emperor of China in October at the High Museum in Atlanta. Should be interesting.

That will be interesting. The Terracotta Warriors came here years ago, but, I didn't see them. That was in the days when a trip into the City was a whole day planned excursion.

Then there are the other times. I couldn't get a copied CD to work in class this week, went to my boss Andrew for the original, couldn't get it to work, and wondered if there was something wrong with the cute, pink CD player. Then, I remembered that I had turned down the volume to get the correct track without disturbing the class. :rolleyes: I turned the volume up, and the CD worked! I told Andrew that I don't have many blond moments, but this was one. :P
