A book that changed my life a tad late (better than not at all) is The Real Me by Natalie Grant.
That book is just awesome. I could totally relate to her in so many ways. The book helped me realize that at the end of the day, I AM loved, flaws and all.

Anything by Lee Strobel -- Case for Christ, Case for Faith, Case for a Creator
Know Why you Believe -- Paul Little
New Evidence That Demands a Verdict -- Josh McDowell
As someone who didn't grow up in a church, I always wanted to know why I could trust Jesus and the bible. These books answered many of my questions. Lee Strobel is straightforward and easiest to understand.

I love Lee Strobel! I have the Case for Faith, but I haven't read it in a while...maybe it's time to pull it out :)
For me, one of the best books I read this summer for the SRC was God's Power to Change Your Life by Rick Warren (another of my fave authors!)

Books that literally changed my life:
Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis
Evidence That Demands a Verdict by Josh McDowell
From my testimony:
When summer came, I still wasn't convinced of the truths of Christianity. A friend gave me two books and asked me to spend some time during vacation reading them and the Bible. The books were "Mere Christianity" by C. S. Lewis and "Evidence That Demands a Verdict" by Josh McDowell. Both authors wrote that Jesus claimed to be Lord. We can respond to this in one of only three ways: either Jesus was a liar, a lunatic or he was indeed Lord. Lewis and McDowell totally showed the weakness of the liar and lunatic arguments. In June of 1989, when I was reading this in my old bedroom at my family's house, I was only left with one conclusion- JESUS IS LORD! And being Lord, I needed to follow Him. So in my own simple, and at the time, intellectual way I became a Christian.
Just Passing Through: Notes from a Fellow Traveler also changed my life because it made me an author.

I think one of the most impacting books I ever read was 'Here I Stand - A Life of Martin Luther'.

I don't know that I have a book that "changed my life" per se, but 1984 probably had the most lasting impact on me.

ahhhhh good!
The Book of Concord: Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church is a book that has impacted my life in a big way. Of course I can be cute and say the Bible, so I'll be more specific: Romans.

Book of Concord (particularly the large catechism)
Freedom of the Christian by Martin Luther (technically a treatise, but it's an amazing pece of work)

Pride & Prejudice.
Seriously! When the lady and I first started dating, I told her that I had read Pride & Prejudice in High School and that practically won her over. Apparently, not many guys have read it according to her.
I can't say that a book has theologically changed my life. It's more of a series of experiences and books combined. But I'd have to say that Dallas Willard's stuff has recently changed some aspects of my relationship in Christ and in general.

Well, I don't know that I have ever read a book that has changed my life (God is the one doing the changing anyway). But "A Call to Die" by David Nasser is probably my favorite book (besides the Bible). If you haven't read it, you should. He takes you on a 40 day journey of 'fasting from the world, and feasting on God". It's great!
And I just read "Just Like Jesus" by Max Lucado. In one of the chapters he suggests that we could live in constant fellowship with God just as Jesus did, and the Lord has really been dealing with me about that over the past week or two.

I wouldn't say this changed my life per'se but a book called Carry On Mr Bowditch by Jean Lee Latham. This was one book that I had to read this when I was being home-schooled, this was the one book I REALLY REALLY enjoyed. In fact I saw it on a library sale shelf a couple of years ago and immediately snatched it up. I of course read it the second time.
This book showed me if you put your mind to anything you can accomplish it. Nat had an awesome sense of determination even through great tragedy.
Another book that was total awesomeness was a Bio of C.S. Lewis by his stepson. The book was called Jack. I could say many wonderful things about this book but one thing that really jump out to me was the fact that Lewis had such an awesome dedication to his friend and the vow he made to him.
Read the book and you'll know;) ;) ;)
and also the Narnia s' showed me such truth at times too

Knowing God by J.I. Packer. It will give you a strong biblical insight into God
An Unstoppable Force by Erwin McMannus. This will revolution the way you see church. This is a MUST read for anyone involved in the local Church.
God's Generals by Roberts Lairdon. Yes his theology isn't right on all the time, and he has had some serious struggles with sin, but this book provides an unbiased, and often critical look into the men and women of revival over the past two decades.

I read the Barbarian Way....
I like McMannus, because while he thinks like an emergent leader, with regards to culture and so forth, his theology is pretty tight evangelical....
