"Christian rock act Third Day scores its best charting and sales week ever with "Revelation" (Provident Music Group), which debuts at No. 6 with 75,000. It also lands at No. 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart -- the act's fourth No. 1 there. Previously, Third Day's high-water marks came with 2005's "Wherever You Are," which debuted and peaked at No. 8 with 63,000."
CONGRATS GUYS!!!

Excellent! Tai mentions on his blog about being concerned where the CD would be on the Billboard chart.

Congratulations guys and fans as well. The more they sing, the more we tell, and the Word gets to all who come in contact. I can feel the seeds being planted as we speak (or sing)!

A very nice thank you to the fans on Tai's blog:
Well, tonight we're celebrating our biggest street week ever. In my earlier post, I thanked our record company.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you guys as well. The band, management, and the record company have all been working hard to set up this record, but ultimately it's always up to the fans to decide if a band is going to have any success.
We're very mindful that by the grace of God you guys allow us to do this. We are all so overwhelmingly grateful for your support and encouragement.
We promise to continue to strive to make music worthy of fans as amazing as you all.

6th place this week is huuuge. I think Third Day is helping revive the coolness of good Christian rock, like back in 95-97 when they debuted alongside DC Talk's famous album "Jesus Freak," Audio Adrenaline's hit record "Bloom," Newsboys project "Take Me To You Leader" and Switchfoot's debut "Legend of Chin."
This year alone we have: "We Need Each Other" by Sanctus Real, "Satisfy Me" by DecembeRadio, "For The Love of the Game" by Pillar, "Hello" by After Edmund, and of course "Revelation" by Third Day.
Congrats 3D, you deserve it :D :D :D

What does track 14 "CD-Rom" mean?

OH, man, that's the best track on the album! I can't get that song out of my head! Mark absolutely cooks on the solo!
Seriously, it's a "track" that launches an program when you throw it in your PC. Comes up with links to this site and to register on Essential's site for their newsletter with a "free music download" (warning: not 3D) offer. Really gave my heavily anti-virused-up laptop fits until I figured out how to kill it.

Looks like #19 this week (#5 on the rock charts). I haven't found exact numbers anywhere but considering the placement looks like about 24-25K.

...and my laptop at work. Got in the car yesterday morning, and "Call My Name" was playing. Thought to myself "Well, let's see what's on KLOVE before shifting over to CD" only to find out that I was listening to KLOVE.

Revelation's not number one on my laptop anymore...it's been dethroned by "Satisfied" by DecembeRadio. :D

Mine hasn't gotten here yet! I think it's a ploy to NOT send out the pre-orders so you're forced to buy another one at the store! ;)
