I know that there are a lot of Christian musicians that visit the boards everyday and I wondered if there were any in North Central Indiana that wanted to put a band together. I've been writing songs for the past year or so and have been wanting to for a band. I'm currently recording my own songs under the name Ephraim Anthem.
I know that isn't much to go on, but I'm looking for a guitarist, vocalist (male preferably), and a drummer. The songs that I've recorded are just me and my acoustic guitar, nothing fancy. I'm looking to give some fresh air to my lyrics.
If you are interested, please e-mail me at ephraimanthem@gmail.com
My website is http://ephraimanthem.blogspot.co m for those interested. I have to let you know, though, that the songs under the "Downloadable Content" section are WAV files, so they shouldn't be downloaded until I convert them to MP3. Anyone know how?
If anyone can help me with my WAV to MP3 problem, let me know.
Thanks a lot.

What would that be? I didn't see it on the blog or in the wired/wireless forum here.

Thanks a lot.
Go download "Audacity"
Then download the "lame.dll" converter for mp3s.
Install Audacity.
Unzip the lame.dll file into "plug-ins" in the Audacity folder.
Start Audacity.
Open a .wav file.
Click "File", then click "Export as mp3".
Find the .dll file in the folder you put it in.
Viola
All that for free.

Thanks for the input on MP3s. I got 'em fixed. I plan to have them uploaded to my blog sometime soon. Check out shoutlife.com/ephraimanthem (http://shoutlife.com/ephraimanthem) to hear them on my profile's media player.

Bummer! I actually live in Southern Indiana and would consider if the distance wasn't so far. I used to be in a Christian Rock band and people use to think my voice sounded similar to Mac's. Of course not the same, but a close substitute I guess.
I actually sang "Sing a Song" for my audition to our town's version of American Idol we're having for our local fair. I am one of 8 finalists and want to sing "This is Who I Am" for the finale, but can't find that song in an instrumental version.
I know that's off topic of this post, but just curious.

Yeah, that stinks. I've been writing songs for about a year and they just aren't complete without a band. My guitar playing and vocals aren't that great, either, so it'd be nice to have a band to play my songs. (I honestly just want to play base and maybe do background vocals.)
Just so you know I live in Peru, IN.

I would love to sing someone's songs, seeing as I haven't written any. But I live in Tennessee.

Wait a minute! Maybe I could let those of you who are interested in my music record your OWN versions of the songs. Just as long as you promise not to sell them or claim them as your own... seeing as that's wrong.
What do you guys think? I'll post lyrics and you can record your own version and e-mail it to me at ephraimanthem@gmail.com (mailto:ephraimanthem@gma il.com)

Mac, I just started a website called www.MusiciansLikeMe.com with that very thought in mind. We're looking to help bands connect with musicians and vice versa. Or just discuss music in general. There are several Christian genre boards on there already, just waiting for some folks to find out about us!
