Not very surprising. They always seem to choose the middle-of-the-road songs as singles -- the ones that are going to be least the offensive and the most palatable to the masses. Don't get me wrong: Revelation is a good song. But it's far from the best on the album.

I guess it's a blessing, really. I wouldn't want to hear "Run To You", "This Is Who I Am", and "Slow Down" 15 times a day on the local radio station. They can remain special and vibrant in their relative obscurity.

Revelation is good - but "Take Me to the Other Side" is one of my personal favorites. I don't know though, I like "Take it All" is good. Oh, don't forget about "Let Me Love You!" So many good songs to choose from. Great CD!

I just got my cd a few days ago, and haven't even had a chance to listen, but I think they did Take Me to the Other Side a while back at Cal Expo, and I loved it. I have to listen today.

That's not unique to Third Day. It's the way the record business for over a half-century.

I never said it was unique to Third Day. I'm well aware that it has been commonplace in the industry for "over a half-century." I've been alive for exactly a half-century. :D

Sorry guys. Just putting out what we think they'll play (and my personal favorite from the record). For those of you who want a little more rock, you can hear Run To You on CHR stations.

Very seldom do I listen to the radio. However, the entire cd has a new home on my mp3, and therefore, my car. Otherside makes me drive too fast.

I listened to the whole CD twice coming home from Denver yesterday. (It was a four hour drive so we had plenty of time to listen to it.) I like Revelation too, so I think it's a good choice. By the way Mac, thanks to you and the guys for the great show Friday night!

mac, you have nothing to apologize for. you can't please everyone.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Hey, it's Mac! Sandy must have let the guys out of her basement. ;) :P

I'm with Corrine. "Revelation" is one of my favorite songs on, um, well, Revelation. Although not that it matters to me, the only radio stations that I get here that would actually play it are internet radio stations on my PC, there's nothing locally that I get. :(

You can tell it's really Mac as his name is in orange. Only the moderators and official Third Day folks have their names in orange.

Yeah it is kind of ' it can't be, can it?' when you're new here but you do get use to it. For me it really brought home that they are just people like we are not 'rock gods'. :)

I have internet in my basement!

Revelation made me cry my eyes out about the first 271 times I listened to it. I'm already working on it to play at church. I have Call My Name ready to go!

I first learned the song off of YouTube when I've had the chance to use a real computer (like now) instead of mobile web and that song is so good live. Mark does a great ending with that , plus I always like when they just jam.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who has cried their eyes out multiple times over this song. If you are a believer, how can you NOT relate to the words? "Call My Name" and "Let Me Love You" are my other 2 'crying' songs on this cd.

Absolutely no need for apologies Mac! Revelation is a great song! By the way...the whole CD is awesome! It's incredible how much I and others relate to each song. You continue to be a great instrument for my personal growth with Jesus and for countless others. Personally, I have used it already to make moves in loved ones who are not yet saved & the response I have seen from them is phenomenal! I thank God for his use of Third Day & gift of your talents to his glory! See you at Music Builds (Nashville style), Church @Rock Creek in Little Rock, & finally on the KLOVE cruise! :D

Mac, now that we have you on this thread, can I ask a small favor? Please beg/plead Lacey to appear in Houston with you and sing "Run To You". That song is too good to leave out of the playlist, and it would be an absolutely electric moment in the concert if you two would perform it.

And great job on the album. You truly have taken it to the next level.

No need to apologize. The whole CD rocks, so any of the songs would be great as the next single! It seems very appropriate to release the title track next.

Run to You is hard rock? Good song, but hard rock? Interesting.

CHR does stand for Christian Hard Rock right? Maybe I'm wrong, haha.

I agree!

Of course, you know how those people are who like to beat things with sticks. In his case, he's making music. In my case, I'm just letting the neighbors know I'm still alive.

Finally starting to hear Revelation being played on Shine.FM WONU 89.7 Kankakee, IL. Of course, they might have been playing it for a bit -- I've been listening to the entire CD (instead of radio) over and over and over and over again :D Track 2 -- Slow Down and 13 -- Take It All are my favs, although Revelation is up there too!

i love "run to you." i don't really listen to christian radio - i live in the northeast and it seems pretty scarce up here - but i do have the cd on repeat. all the songs are hot. i love revelation in concert, though. the ending with the piano and guitar is awesome!

I personally love the song Revelation..I think it is one of the best on the album, if not the best. The song speaks to me. And, I've played it for several of my friends and they love it. I've been there, waiting to know what to so many time, and all you can do is utter "Help me, God, show me what to do". And eventually, He does! One friend gave it to her husband, as he's struggling with answers to life right now. And, I do want the band to know that I played the cd for a friend who I wasn't sure about her beliefs. She fell in love with the album, and now wants to go with me to see Third Day if they come somewhere in Texas near us! I was thrilled! Third Day is the only Christian group she listens to right now. She's a Daughtry fan, so that was my opening to have her listen to the cd, and I'm glad I did.

Sorry guys. Just putting out what we think they'll play (and my personal favorite from the record). For those of you who want a little more rock, you can hear Run To You on CHR stations.

THANK YOU especially for the Revelation song - because when I heard it I was at an extremely difficult time in my life where I needed to decide about something life-altering for me and my kids... and your song "Revelation" kept recurring in my mind and then bring me to prayer each time. Like God was speaking to me through your music (once again.)

IMHO, "Run To You" would be a big hit on mainstream (according to my non-Christian neighbors who've heard me play it, and love it)... Then the song about the Prodigals would reach so many prodigals ;)

God Bless You!

When I 1st got the 'Revelation' CD, I quickly put it on my i-Pod. I gave my Dad a ride to town, and the song Otherside came on. My Dad isn't saved, but he really like the song. And actually asked who it was... :)
