I'm not terribly familiar with it. Is it really? (I'm resisting the urge to put a nice red apostrophe in one of them there words.;) )

cannot wait - one of my favourite graphic novels!

Apparently, I'll be reading it, too. Asher just installed it onto my computer without my knowing it. :P I'll read it, just because it will give us something else to talk about, and because he'll appreciate me reading it. :)

I'm just glad that Jason didn't choose The Comedian as his new screen name.
I'm on the second book. Man, why didn't someone kill that dude much sooner?

No, but if I'd have known you were going to be there, I'd have considered it.

I like having the books divided up into 12 separate editions. I'm not a reader, and if I can read 36 pages and say I finished a book, I feel like I've accomplished something. ;)
Or maybe in this thread I should only use :)

The fact that I am going to be there means nothing? :) I see you all the time! Sometimes I think we're joined at the hip, or at least that some people think we are. This must be what it feels like to be a twin. ;)

I'd have to choose between you and my husband at this point. He's none too keen on me going anywhere without him the rest of the year. Too much travel this year!
I'll go check out the thread. Epitaph? Did someone die?

Back to Watchmen.
I went to see TDK again last night, and it was so cool to see the preview for Watchmen now that I know a little of what's going on! It looks so much like the book!

it toally does. there are alot of skeptics out there, but i think its going to be true to the comics....except for the costumes. which is trivial to me.

I spent the day reading the book. Asher wouldn't let me rest until I finished it. And this was my last chance. So I locked myself in my room and read the last 6 chapters. (I'm a slow reader.) I think I enjoyed the Black Freighter best. I'm glad they kept it in the movie.
Is it weird that whenever I was reading Rorschach, I thought of you, Jason? It's not your avatar or name, but something about him, actually quite a bit about him. What a great character he is, though.
We have tickets to the midnight showing tonight. It's my son's 22 birthday tomorrow, and this will kick off the celebration nicely!

Hmm..it's not the tendency to extreme violence is it? :)

Tales of the Black Freighter wont be in the theatrical version. Its going to be animated and the mariner will be voiced by Gerard Butler from 300. The DVD comes out 3/24 and includes "Under the Hood", the Hollis Mason autobigraphy. Zack Snyder has said that the director's cut will feature Tales of the Black Freighter interspersed throughout the film.

A+
I think people unfamiliar with the comic will hate it because they are expecting a movie like Iron Man.

Having read the comics makes it a much better movie.

We told our two oldest sons we did not approve of the movie and they could not see it.
Alas the 16 y.o. went on the heels of him actually going to church last nite for the first time in three months.
