I must say after listening to "Revelation" in the car and off of the preorder for the last while it is definitely one of the most complete Third Day CD's to date. I love the guest appearances by Chris Daughtry and Lacey Mosley. As much as I loved WYA it seemed to only have a few great songs on it and it didn't capture me as much. Thank you guys for this great piece of work. :D

I'm out of my mind. I picked up the CD at Lifeway at 11 a.m. and I already have listened to it three times. I almost hate that I have to sleep at some point tonight.

I usually have to listen to a new release at least 6-8 times to really be able to make a judgment on it, but I think this album immediately vaults up to very near the top of the 3D list -- perhaps the top. I still have a very strong spot in my heart for Time, and I'm not yet ready to say this supplants it.

It is very obvious that Howard Benson's influence -- and the band members have described him as basically cajoling them as much as leading them -- has taken them to a new level. I really wasn't overly excited about Wire or Wherever You Are -- it seemed like they really lost their Southern rock roots. But Revelation has some outstanding rockers. And I really think they hit a home run with the songs that incorporated Lacey Mosley, Robert Randolph and Chris Daughtry.

I absolutely love "This Is Who I Am," "Slow Down," "Call My Name," "Run To," "Revelation," and "Other Side." That may be the best six-song stretch they've ever had on an album. "Run To" is goose-bump-inspiring. I do, however, have to wonder why they put those six back-to-back to start the album. The album does seem to lose a bit of steam down the stretch. Maybe I'll feel differently after listening to it more in the coming days.

I know the guys are very proud of this album. All of their comments seemed to point to the belief that they were really pushed to excellence. They wanted this to be different and better. They weren't going to settle for more of the same. And they have succeeded.

I can't wait to hear some of these songs live. Oct. 3 couldn't come soon enough.

The anointing is always gonna be there. Thank God for people who know that pushing harder on something God's given can get Papa's attention.

I'm highly impressed with this album. Both as a fan, and as a musician who draws on their influence myself. I can say that this music has already got my gears turning, and more, I can feel the drive and diligence they must have poured into this project.

I was listening to Sirius yesterday, and they were playing the new songs, with clips of the guys describing each song before they would play it. Third Day has always reached out to everyone with their songs, but to hear the excitement in their voices as they talked about the ideas behind this new album was something special. You could sense the satisfaction they must be feeling.

Tai mentioned they had been using "Otherside" for the encore song lately, and that he felt it would gain the status of "Consuming Fire" with the fans. All I know is that Robert Randolph's pedal steel solo on that song is reeeediculous.

I think it's the best album yet, and well worth the wait. My patience has left me entire and complete, wanting nothing, as far as this album goes.

Thanks to 3D for yet another great offering.

:D After all of the anticipation I am so very pleased!!! I have to say I spent all of yesturday and last night listening to this cd and it is truely fabulous! So good in fact, that in the middle of all of that I had to rush out and buy another copy for a friend! :) All of the songs were great! I love good old southern rock and there was loads of it! Plus the addition of Daughtry and Flyleaf Lacey Mosley...woah... "Run To You" actually made me weep! My body tingled all over and the emotion was so strong. Mac's voice and the words he uses have always moved me beyond words, but this is truely something! I thank God for his use of Third Day! I can't wait to see them live in Nashville and on the KLOVE cruise! Guys....you are so awesome!!! What a blessing you are to us all!

I thought "Conspiracy #5" would sort of be my favorite forever. I can't believe how MUCH I love "Revelation". I don't know how they can top this one. It's not just the music or Mac's vocals. This album has ministered to my heart so greatly. I LOVE it!

I believe this CD *that I got to hear on streaming audio in June* and Wire are their very best. I don't think they could get much better!

You know it's good when you gotta bring it to work to listen to on you lunch break! Man, honestly...I don't think I could tell you if I had to which was my favorite song on this one. It's like, you MUST listen to them all! There's just so much I love about each of them. What can I say....Third Day just ROCKS! :D

This is a very strong release... I was kind of fed up after WYA, I thought it was very weak. Revelation, though, seems to me to be the best they've put out since Come Together - certainly the first 5 tracks are strong, at least.

Oh this is a dynamite record. I've been listening to the streaming audio for about 2 months, and thought it was good. But when I popped that little CD into my big stereo and turned up the volume - well, my husband said he could hear it as he was walking up the driveway to the house, and I had the house closed up tight! IT IS AWESOME!!!!

Loud with a little extra bass enhancement. Just my personal listening preference there.

A LITTLE bass enhancement? Unless I can feel my ribs vibrate and the floor beneath me shake, it's not Third Day at their finest (I use a Walkman with mega bass).

The speakers in my house are 28 years old, but Tai is still coming in loud and clear. (Tai was about 6 when I bought them. Scary.:D )

i agree with the previous poster that after WYA I was getting a bit tired of recent third day efforts, but it seems like with Revelation the boys have found out how to rock again. I though maybe they had lost the original Third Day sounds and ability to crank up the volume and have a good time with God... but Revelation puts that theory to rest... Thanks guys!!!

This really is their best to date. I have to say as CCMish cookie cutterish WYA sounded it was awesome as well as this one(their best to date as said above)

Close to 3 months of listening to it and i still can't hear it enough. my best friend said one of his students posted the words to 'revelation' on his blog when his fiance broke up with him. was glad to hear a story like that.

Gotta play it loud! :D The mixing + production quality on Revelation is outstanding (esp. compared to past albums) and I have played it at least once a day 'LOUD' - since I got it in August and am still not tired of it.

My neighbors have also gotten to hear it when I've been in my back yard and they are definitely not Christian... but sometimes a couple of the men would ask me to turn it up when "This Is Who I Am, Slow Down, Otherside and Ready" came on (makes a statement about cross-over potential!!) and one of the girlfriends came and asked me about "Let Me Love You and Born Again" because she thought they were great love songs.... ;)

Sometimes I have "created" errands to run so I could sneak away to play it loud in my vehicle! LOL!! :-)

(Too bad they couldn't go back and remix/reproduce Time and Conspiracy No.5 to have the same sound quality...they sound kinda "flat" in comparison with Revelation... but the tunes are still awesome!)

I've been lovin Third Day for a LONG TIME. Over time they have grown. But this Revelation CD is for me TRULY ONE OF THEIR BEST. If you listen to some of the older CD's and then listen to some of the later CD's you actually get to hear Mac's voice change (no not from a teenager to a man LOL). His voice has MATURED. It is full and it is GOLDEN.
I do like that they were challenged while doing this CD. When I listen to Revelation I don't hear Howard Benson cranking our boys to a whole new Rock and Roll level. I hear him zeroing in on what was already there and then refined it and took it another level. They wanted some change- its easy to just sit back on the good work done and just "coast". They knew they had more in them - seems like they needed to look at it from a different direction- through "different ears and eyes". I say WELL DONE.
This does not take away from any of their past work either. They just grew in a huge way. Great for Third Day and great for us (the fans/gomers) too.

I totally agree. Next to offerings 1 it's my favourite of all their cds. Howard Benson has done an amazing job of refining the performance but it helps that the songwriting is so, so rich in inspiration, devotion and quality!
It brings me to the Gospel and my soul soars. Wonderful!
