Wired 2.0 Coming Soon

Hello Wired Fans,

The band and management would like to sincerely thank you for your patience over the last year with Wired. Our desire with the fan club is to provide an unparalleled fan experience centered around the LIVE experience. Thank you for being a part of beta 1.0. Over this last year, we have learned a lot about what WIRED should be and what it cannot be.

I know that many of you have experienced frustration with poor fulfillment and customer service. Thank you for differentiating that service from the intentions of the band and management. Please know that your cries for relief have been heard and we are making substantial changes.

As many of you guys have noticed, we are temporarily suspending new memberships for Wired. During this time, we are working quickly to create a new WIRED system to better serve you.

Some information you need to know...

1. You WILL have the opportunity to request meet and greet passes for the upcoming MUSIC BUILDS tour. We will work to make sure that there is at least a 10 day window for M&G passes and we will honor all WIRED requests.

2. When we move to our new fulfillment service, we will work to make sure that all Wired members have received their fan fulfillment kits.

As we unveil WIRED 2.0, there will be substantial changes including the addition of FAMILY memberships. Family memberships will include 2 Fan Kits (t-shirt, sticker, M&G Laminate) but will also include additional laminates for members of your immediate family. (children)

We will be opening an exclusive Wired store for members only where there will be Wired merchandise, but also occasional exclusive Third Day items. (Autographed guitars, drum heads, crew merchandise, etc.)

We will be implementing a new system for Meet and Greet where a Wired representative will take your picture with the band for you and host it on Wired where you can download the picture at high resolution. This will help to workaround venue issues where cameras are prohibited, and provide you with more than a cell phone grade memory of your time with the band!

Thank you for being the charter members of a new fan service. We enjoyed getting to meet you guys after the shows this last year, and look forward to seeing even more of you soon.

I had a question for Tai's other thread, but since that one is closed already, had to start a new one. :)

I guess the main question is "how soon is 'coming soon'?"

I've got a pair of tickets for D. and myself for the September Music Builds Raleigh show. So very glad to hear that there will be M&Gs scheduled for that tour.

However, I just have the one Wired membership from Wired 1.0 last October. Made good use out of that for the M&Gs during the Christmas Offerings tour. Unfortunately, since D. didn't have one at that time, I made him wait in the arena concourse for darn near an hour (! :eek: :o !) while I M&Ged at the Greenville show.

He was very good about it, but to make it up to him, I promised that the next time we were going to a show that had a M&G attached, I'd buy him a Wired membership so that he wouldn't have to sit and twiddle his thumbs while I did another one.

So along comes the Music Builds tour. With Meet and Greet. And we have tickets. And currently NO way for me to buy D. a membership so that he isn't forced to twiddle yet again while I do the M&G. :(

Will Wired 2.0 be up and running in enough time for me to get D. Wired? That two pack thing that Tai mentioned would be great, I'd renew mine, and get one for D. at the same time. But don't know if it'll be available yet for the Raleigh show.

Anyone know what kind of time frame we're looking at for this?

Will Music Today still be managing this?

Will you have the sign up at the concerts available for these?

I never received from the first one, so to eliminate frustration it would be nice to have option again at shows to purchase?

My question, too. As I never received my package either, I would be very hesitant to renew, especially if MusicToday was involved. Once bitten, twice shy, I guess.

I am relieved to know that those of us who have been waiting for quite some time will finally get our Wired fan packages!! Thank you for the update Tai. I have certainly never been upset with Third Day or Third Day management and I am sure that Third Day and it's management will make sure that we get our kits eventually!! Thank you so much.

This is really great for venues that don't allow cameras! What a great service to add to the Wired Membership!! But I am assuming that for venues that do allow cameras, we will still be allowed to walk around and take candid shots, as well as ask for additional posed shots with band members. As time allows of course and as long as it does not interfere with everyone getting to meet you. Thanks again for sharing the news about Wired 2.0 with us.

One last question please. Will a different Wired website be launched, or will the old website still be the place to go to listen to Wired radio and request M&G passes?? Thanks Tai! :D

Good deal. August 10 is the Journey show at the same venue as the Music Builds show the next month, so that will be an easy date to remember, even if it IS subject to change. :)

Sounds like that will be plenty of time to get D signed up before the Raleigh show. Whew!

I was really happy to hear about the new wired on two counts. The family membership and the fact that there will be someone there to take pictures. I like to have pictures taken of Greg and I together and it is not always an easy things to do with so many people in a small room. We had talked about renewing our membership before the news came out. At that time we were kinda thinking about it but concerned because of the poor service. We are willing to give this one a try!!

:D Thanks Tai! That's great news! I've never joined Wired, but was about to and discovered that you weren't accepting new members. Needless to say I was really bummed! We live in the Memphis area & currently have tickets to the Nashville Sept 21 show & bought them through ticketmaster before learning about Wired. My 13 yr old and I are praying everything is up & running so that we can see you at meet & greet! :) can't wait! btw...eager to see you guys on the leno show! best wishes & God bless you!

I am really glad to hear that there are serious steps being taken for the fans. I know that you really care for your fans and this just makes it show even more. Will be waiting as patiently as possible for any information w/regards to M&G. Will current memberships be grandfathered into Wired 2.0?
