I bought Revelation today. :D
Koorong has them at 20% off until Tuesday, at A$17.56. They are available as from today. Aussies take note!
Am particularly liking Run to You, Revelation and Let Me Love You, after listening to it the first time. :)

LOL. Yes, it is a wonderful place to live, apart from the infrequent 3D tours.
Marg: I saw your post. You may have thought it was on backorder. Now, when are you going for a drive to Toowoomba? :P

The quality of life is off the charts. If it weren't so darned far from my family and the American sports scene -- when I lived there, there were only 5-6 TV channels and no Internet -- I might have stayed there forever.

Now there are stacks of sporting channels on Foxtel. What did you particularly like about life in Australia?

I was actually IN Toowoomba on Thursday!!! Wednesday night I looked at Koorongs website and they had it listed as backorder 2-5 weeks delivery!! So I didn't go there when I was in town! However, I ordered it Thursday night and it was shipped yesterday - I will have it Monday.....

Just about everything.
Where to begin?
-- The people took me in immediately. A friend of my American friend lived out in Richmond, and he let me stay with him for a week. Then I moved into Sydney to get serious aboud landing a job. I walked into Murdoch's News Corp building and they hired me on the spot as a copy editor (or sub editor, as they called it). I didn't have to show them any documents or try out (although I did have a three-day training period). They just trusted my background. Could I have done that anywhere in America? No. I worked there for about 15 months, then took a six-month trip around the world. When I came back, they hired me right back.
-- Sydney might be the most dynamic city in the world, and I've been to 21 countries. It has everything you'd want: breathtaking scenery, great beaches, great weather, the arts, every kind of restaurant you can imagine.
-- When I first got there and lived in Balmain, I took the ferry to work every day. I can't imagine a more exhilirating start to your day then breathing in fresh ocean air while passing the Sydney Opera House.
-- I also lived in Paddington and Glebe, and loved both areas.
-- In Sydney, there is so much good music that you can see a top band any night of the week.
-- For a large city, crime seemed to be very low. I never really felt threatened there, and I spent a lot of time out on the town.
-- The Aussies just seemed to have a lot of spirit and a love for life.

Did you go to Redfern, Liverpool, Cabramatta, Punchbowl, Bankstown or Fairfield ?? :P
Funny how the grass is always greener. I wanna go back to the USA. Next year though I should be going. Salt Lake City this time :)

Actually, I had a friend who lived in Redfern, so yes, I did go there. At that time, it was being revitalized. He lived in an old warehouse (I think) that had been refurbished into a nice apartment complex.
I never did hang out much in Cabramatta or Bankstown, although I remember Cabramatta having a kick-butt rugby league team. No need to hang out there. I'm sure those area smight not have been nice, but by U.S. big-city standards, all of Sydney is definitely safer. I'm sure the crime/murder stats would support that.
I lived in Sydney from 1987-90, so things might have changed dramatically since then.
I tried to find some world crime stats. This is the best I could do:
"The Mercer Human Resource Consulting 2008 worldwide quality of living survey recently found that five Australian cities ranked in the top 40 for overall quality of living. Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane ranked 10th, 17th, 21st, 29th and 34th respectively, whereas the US’ top city, Honolulu, was ranked 28th, and the UK’s top city, London, was ranked 38th.
Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane all ranked in the top 50 for personal safety."
No specific stats, but that's pretty impressive.
